Yes it is, one loot drop is not content.
They are clearing them with less thaan 460 ilvl… By the time most Mythic guilds reach those bosses their players will have 480 ilvl even after the nerfs are almost a guarantee to happen.

Wow that’s just rude towards people. No. They remind me of sports fans and their passion is infectious even. All these people cheering the competitors on, hoping the people they like to win.
We can also flip that around and say “The bosses are tuned inporper from the get go and the RWF is just showing it by having bosses take days” which wouldn’t even be wrong, seeing how everytime the RWF is around we see the most activity by Blizzard in terms of Nerfs/Buffs, we see more “Hotfixes” that actually fix game breaking bugs in the Raids etc.
Your statement is just factually speaking not true. In addition to that, we have seen a clear drop off in time needed for the RWF Guilds to clear trough the raid, the only reason the RWF isn’t completed in 3 Days max is because of the time added that they spent in Splits, which isn’t even the real Mythic Prog
No it shows a clear bias and where their priorities lie.
Its for everyone. So yes…
On one difficulty.
Mythic content is scaled for the attainable gear levels, do it is not specifically overtuned.
It is overtuned for bastically early heroic/late normal gear. That is why they do splits, so they get closer to the intended levels the raid is tuned towards: the majority of the raiding population.
470+ gear makes mythic bosses still fairly challenging. What most people end up struggling with are the basics, based on my experience, such as:
-Lack of situational awareness. They know how to spread for mechanics, but they do not know how to spread in a way that they do not hinder their own teammates.
-low multitasking levels. Basically being able to use your abilities while moving.
And a number of other smaller reasons that I will not go into here. In the end the challenge levels of the content is heavily altered by the players who are in your raid. I do not think that is something that Blizzard should design its raid around, as the power inflation from gear handles that part.
Overall the fact that they “gatekeep” players from obtaining the legendary is a good thing, as it means the raid is not balanced around the existence of that legendary. Otherwise they would have to factor it in to an extent into raid balance.
To my knowledge the way the raid is designed is that they start out with mythic, build around it, and then start going backward, with most of the developement time being spent on LFR. It makes sense too, as most things considered difficult needs to be altered, heavily toned down, or outright removed in order to not make it an obstacle for most raid groups.
Ny’alotha LFR comes to mind, where the biggest challenge in it was to click on the interractive button to use the heart of azeroth.
I similarly don’t understand the fuss, especially when they have been practising on PTR and it is not a true race. I also couldn’t care less and have 0 interest in sports or e-sports and even streaming. That’s fine though, I can easily not care and let others enjoy it, the only time it bothers me is when it affects my gameplay negatively - currently means more nerfs the longer they do it before I even get change with raid finder
That one difficulty gets more dev attention than pretty much every other type of content.
Funny, I thought they nerfed old raids quite quickly when it comes to overtuned bosses :o
For 2-3 weeks out of every 6 months perhaps, but once the race is done they dont spend any time on it until its time to nerf it at the end so more people can do it.
Noone forces anyone to do this. They chose this.
You chose (and many others) to not do this.
Hopefully Echo (so predictable it’s boring) wins it soon so they can start on spec tuning and balancing.
the funniest part is rwf players get mad when people say the game is designed around them xd i stopped watching it after last season. i mean there should be a race yes but the whole game shouldn’t revolve around that for weeks that’s so stupid lol.
I agree with what you’re saying. If the hardest raid difficulty was heroic blizz would see way more people raiding imo and they would retain the players more too. I feel like people want to do the hardest stuff in an mmo and if they can’t do mythic they won’t wanna do it at all. My irl friends would probably still play too. But they just reminisce about the old raid days of when wow was “good”. But what they really mean is when the raids were easier
I don’t really bother raiding because I don’t have time to dedicate to a raid group with having a wife and kids now and I work late shifts. But if the hardest difficulty was heroic raids I would pug them.
I run m+ but even then there is way too much stuff going on it’s a brain fart. On S1 I done upto a +23 maybe +22 (can’t remember now) pugging as a healer. But once I completed RLP on +20 I literally turned the game off and took a break it was just exhausting. I still have nightmares thinking about that place after I have returned.
the odds of basically anybody getting the axe before RWF is over is so low it’s insane, assuming fyrakk dies this week and he very likely will unless something insane happens like a 4th phase. then people will have had 1 entire lockout where the axe was just not available at all.
That’s not even considering the fact that it very likely is a questline again like the evoker weapon so god forbid you have to start at it week 2 instead of week 1! Will someone please think of whiners!
The game should absolutely be designed around the race, meaning gear should be extremely limited in the first weeks to make the raid feel hard. This way once the race is over mythic essentially gets a giant nerf.
At least this is the theory. In reality split runs and loot funneling break this concept.
They see that the game is alive and kicking. They see streams have tens of thousands of viewers. WoW players (and people in general) are obsessed with numbers because they need to know they’re playing a popular game to feel they’re in the right place.
A lot of people nowadays watch videos of the games they think about to start or watch streams. Guides usually pop up that are fairly much linked to Esports in a lot of cases.
Than ofc there is indeed the hype around new content from big streamers.
I highly doubt that people that come for classic hardcore are shifting lots for retail. I even doubt lots of people that are not allready somewhat wow-players or were wow-players will have a huge interest in hardcore
You’d be very surprised. There are lots of first time wow players in classic, or people who haven’t played for 10+ years, who may give retail a chance. That’s why I think it’s smart that they put classic on the same sub as retail
Possible, I dont play hardcore… since I personally see it a waste of time.
I mainly just listen to the stories of my friends and other that play it and they are allways old players, that includes the people they met there aswell.
Its strange to imagine tho
I really thought when I was little that humans will evolve eventually … but it seems they can’t do that because … I don’t even know. Braincells seem to somehow disappear overtime.
The legendary is not available until RWF is done … so? It stops you from doing any content? Literally no. They listened to the whining and overly entitled players and they did 20s a walk in the park, so anybody (deserved or not) to be able to have the myth track gear. A big mistake from them, but it is what it is. Whiners and entitled players win this one.
BM and DH are overpowered. So? Is it affecting you? Most of the people whining and complaining every day about the state of the game are barely able to do a 15 now, even if you can play without a hand and still time it. How is the fact that BM and DH affect you in a 15, where you can go and time it with literally any combination at this point. I won’t say 20 even if it’s real, because that would mean that people can dodge things and press their 3 buttons rotation.
Mythic raid exists, you don’t have the skill to do it, automatically this is a bad thing. How in this world this stops you from doing HC? The difference between the gear dropped is not even important if you’re not doing the high end game anyway. You need high end gear to gather herbs or to battle pets? Or for your weekly 20 no leavers done in 4.5h?
