This is so situational. The nelf racial can be so good to get mana.
Yeah, why would a class that gets tunneled by melee a lot want an extra 15% chance to resist stuns over a slow/root removal that doesn’t work and gets resisted half of the time anyway
This is the TBC version of shadowmeld, you cannot use it in combat, and if you’re not in combat, you’re already drinking, so shadowmeld does literally nothing unless you’re playing vs a bad team that can’t keep track of where you sat down to drink
Escape Artist is the most ridiculous racial.
When you are using it, it could be resisted on its own, like against classes that don’t have any dispell-resist mechanics i.e warriors, hunters, mages.
So sometimes your racial couldn’t remove wingclips, hamstrings, novas etc. It feels like you havent got racial ability at all.
Even try to imagine what if WotF can be resisted…
I think you’re making too intrusive changes by adding incentives and limiting group play which is the essence of MMORPGs.
- Allow same faction PvP for both factions
- Allow 10/15 man groups in battlegrounds. Don’t limit groups to 5 man only. Maybe alter matchmaking to allow more solo queue games to happen.
- Consider buffing honor gain from battlegrounds slightly or adjust honor requirements, keep mark requirements.

You literally had 2 viable options to offer to the que plus it was your job as company to corect bad behaviour from player. You know very well from the classic till now the herd mentality is to all go where the biggest grupe of pvp is . So you could prevent by not let horde creation and so on… and in the end you come to the conclusion to make all one faction play . So basically right now less will be incentives to play ally by the premises of" hey let’s go horde we have good racials and highly player base from where to chose".
Well hope you will be able to sort other problems down the road, which will come when you to the decision to make this move, to not say how now you will shrink even more the player base from the alliance. But I guess will not be a problem coz h v h will be a thing so at least you have some one in the game which is not bad sub going money come.

Im sure it only works 50% of the time… and the nelf racial means you have to go right next to the druid or u need to use some kinda aoe spell which means u can be spell locked

It very frequently resists, yes. Imagine the outrage if will of the forsaken not only had its 5 second immunity removed, but also had a chance to resist and just not work at all.
You have to do that against anyone trying to drink because they’re not going to sit down and drink in the open, they’re going to do so behind line of sight

Have you play rated battleground before ? You were fighting against Alliance if you we’re Alliance and people didnt cry about this.I think most people forgot about this.

Why are you doing this? The only time when we can see good pvp matches is when it’s premade vs premade. Any other configuration, the match is won by the team with the least afk-bots or concede-boys…
The solution was simple if you wanted to give a chance to PUGs, let people tag with as many player as they want, and make the matchmaking oppose them to a comparable team.
If you tag with 15 players, you’re only matched to 15 players groups more or less. 14 + 1 should be matched with 14 + 1 etc etc
Limiting battlegrounds to 5 people groups only make it more luck based. You’re 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 matched against 5 + 5 you’re pretty much owned.
A box of 5 netherweave doesnt make up for wotf and stun resist…

Horde racials have been analysed to be superior by many sources. Just because alliance racials can be superior in a certain situation (UD rogue too dumb to wait out perception???) doesn’t quite make it the best choice on average.
May as well go the whole hog now and just have RBG with players from all servers and both sides randomly thrown together in a complete pile.
Making a tiny bonus box to try and encourage more alliance to join- great, now we’ll have at least one ‘afk for the box’ in every match up.
Testing this over just one week won’t give you any sort of metrics. People will pile in for the week, giving a lot of false data. If you want real data, the test needs to be at least 4 weeks long- as most players will try something for a little while when they know it’s only a week, but people will revert mainly to type after a few weeks and the final two weeks of the 4 will give you the best data.
And restricting pre mades to 5s is a terrible stomp on organised parties- may as well make it fully random as you shaft entire communities with the change…
Here’s what a week will tell you: massive increase in alliance players doing bg. What it won’t tell you is how many would play in week two when they realise that in order to get the ‘free’ chest they have to actually do something and win the match, which will prove too much effort and numbers would drop rapidly.
Weeks 3 and 4 would also tell you what effect the changes have had on ganking (although 4 weeks is probably not long enough for people to revert totally to type). One week will just give you false data as it will alter behaviour only for that week which wouldn’t continue longer term.
But of course as you listen to ‘the majority’ ie the vocal Horde players, anything we say here will be ignored in the interests of the Horde.
Faction imbalance on pvp EU servers now 39/61, which doesn’t just affect ganking- it also has a huge effect on availability and pricing of items in the AH, farming, gear progression, etc. And once you go to the quieter servers you realise just how dead some of them have become.
Maybe concentrate on cross server AH and cross faction AH to fix some of the more obvious imbalances.
Everyone wanted to play vanilla and tbc again precicely because of these awful retail-features that made the game suck.
