Sanguine Depths: I hate this dungeon

Lots of reasons.
The first reason I hate it came with week 1 of Shadowlands, clearing it 15 times in a row with no Legendary drop.
My legendary was on the last boss, so I didn’t even have the luxury of being a douchebag to my allies and quit after the first boss. No no no, I had to do it all entirely, on normal difficulty. Fun times.

I hate Executor Tarvold.
Lots of AOE, lots of movement required, all in a very narrow corridor. Awful healing experience.
A very unpleasant boss, to be sure.

Then, there’s the chase after General Kaal and what feels like an endless stream of trash monsters coming at you. Slugging through those is painful.

And finally, it’s boring to look at. Nothing new aesthetically. It’s a very generic, bland place.

Hate it as well, even worse on mythic (2nd boss is nightmare fuel to heal, only trumped by the last boss in Theatre of pain).

I got the legendary on the first run, not what I wanted though, as I needed other gear from various other bosses. Si I have run it a lot too. Got tons of pants from the last boss.

Relatable.

It’s a joyride on mythic Storming week.

As in, you’re constantly riding on different tornados in very narrow hallways and flying around instead of being able to move your character.

The only bad thing about this dungeon is the last boss/trash fight is just tedious and annoying. I’m sure there are other ways to make the boss prefight interesting.

Like how? What kind if trash you find interesting and fun in current Shadowland dungeons?

To get legendary you must meditate, reach state of zen, you will get legendary as soon your desire to get this legendary dissapear… believe me it works 100%

As Hpally i find the dungeon actually enjoyable because it gives some healing work on trash and bosses are pretty simple.
Except for Tarvold. Its garbage boss because it requires way too much coordinated navigation. With one misstep the fight becomes way too chaotic. Someone starts to panic and AOE damage becomes pretty big.
On storming and Tyrannical its like come on, Blizzard, its garbage design.
Overall i dislike how SL dungeons have so much unavoidable AOE damage.

Quality over quantity so less trash and give the rest of the trash some decent mechanics which require team cooperation to succeed.
To make things spicier let’s add some environmental jumping puzzle or another type of puzzle and we have ourselves somewhat engaging content.

Jesus, Executor Tarvold… shudders

Like, in normal and Hero this boss does absolutely nothing and in Mythic he comes to steal your car keys and kick you in the balls after spitting hot sand in your eyes.

Let me guess…Domina?

The entire freaking dungeon, every secound of it is pain!

Not a fan of it either, to be honest. I like the last boss though.

As for Sanguine Depths, I only dislike the trash run before the last boss.

Sanguine depths the new tol dagor I hear?

No idea. I’m extremely smart, so I skipped BFA.

Tell me about it.

I learned to love it as my buddies and I were clearing it over and over for the achievement “Kaal-ed Shot”. You only have one try, then you need to re-clear the entire dungeon (on Mythic, I might add) if you fail.

A few tips I can give you that might help you out;

  1. Pull packs next to the Venthyr containers. If there’s a Venthyr member in your group, you’ll get a stacking buff for killing monsters there, which really helps out.
  2. Focus on stone gargoyles, as they are kinda annoying for melee to deal with in tight corridors.
  3. As a DK you can use Anti-Magic Shell to avoid chains from warden mobs.
  4. On Grand Proctor Beryllia you need to plan ahead with how many light orbs your team picks up. 2-3 for each member, prioritizing certain regions around the boss helps a lot.
  5. During the gauntlet before General Kaal you have several stages that let you passively regenerate before he hits 70% and runs away. Make the most of these short breaks, and only kill the two gargoyle bears as they spawn. Your healer will love you for this.
  6. On Executor Tarvold the key there is to prioritize his add over anything else, then paying attention to the orbs rotating around the room. Having a rotation in for when to move to the inner/outer circle helps.

The rest of the dungeon is pretty easy.

I hate necrotic wake more tbh.

The main problem with this dungeon is the end part with the gauntlet.

I actually find her the easiest out of the bunch… first and second boss annoy me much more.
