I stop to argue. It’s useless to speak with you because you will not change you opinion anyway. Have a nice day.
Im sorry that you feel this way, but my arguments are not NO IM A BABY I WANT THESE ELVES, I am stating facts, if they dont make sense I would just be crying about a Nightborne model rework
Popular isn’t always good, you know. If they are just gonna add another recolorized belf like the void elves, then no, I’d rather get something else. But if the race theme overtakes the model then we got something good.
the horde doesn’t seem to have problems with people killing their own ranks, actually it seems to be a real bonus if you want to become a high ranking member of the horde, let’s say for example a warchief.
Victory For Sylvanas
I don’t see void elves as recolor, they feel different, if they had good story maybe I’d play one.
Nzoth Quote : The fall of night reveals her true face. She will bring only ruin.
This screams Night Warrior in my opinion and Elune’s true motives will finally show her to not be a saint and if this happens ill just be sitting here like.
I watch a lot of Pyromancer youtube videos and he is really giving out good theories, so i am hoping for this
Nightborne were addicted to magic, and if you followed their questline they have been cured from their addiction.
The hell is a Night Warrior and why is everyone talking about it?
Tyrande at Darkshore invoking the forbidden ritual that could have killed her
Regarding this, I think that Blizzard has in mind two options: a San’layn allied race or a Dark ranger class.
It’s possible that San’layn will be added as a playable allied race. They played a role for the Horde in Nazmir and they have a lot of potential. We don’t know exactly what happened to them after the Lich King defeat, where did they go? where are the two blood princes still alive? But to make them playable, they need to differentiate their aesthetics a lot in order to stand aside from the other elves. I think that if they use the blood prince model for male and Lana’thel model for female with a lot of vampiric features will be enough.
The other option is a potential dark ranger class. Sylvanas raised night elves as dark rangers during the War of Thorns. Next patch there will be a scenario where you have to save Velonara from the Scarlet Crusade and where she states that she doesn’t like being undead and used by Sylvanas. What if during Sylvanas encounter, the night elven dark rangers under Deralyn rejoin and fight for the Alliance againts the Banshee Queen while blood elven dark rangers betray her and fight her for the Horde under Velonara?
I don’t know which option will be easier for Blizzard, if to add a new allied race with all its classes or to add a new class for two existing races (even with different feature like air and skin colours and red eyes).
Look at the new raid and N’Zoth’s whispers:
‘The Light has made a bargain with the enemy of all.’
Enemy of all = death. Even the void hates death, which is why its equally hard for an undead being to be a shadow priest as a holy priest. You don’t see any undead Old god servants, that’s because it has no hold over them, they don’t hear the whispers all other mortals do.
So Light + Death = Calia and other lightforged undead. The lore is going that way whether players are looking forward to it or not.
It’s not a lore thread so I won’t get too into it.
I haven’t even seen Vulpera mentioned yet, are you horde peoples not excited for fox goblins!? That’s been found in 8.2 datamining.
Stop obsessing over a ‘race’ that would never work or make sense. It’s been tight, but most of the lore behind the allied races so far is sound. Holy Void Elf Priest make zero sense… but other than that I think we’re good. I’m even down with Mag’har Monks following the teachings of the monks who helped save their people for years until they joined the horde.
I believe it makes sense, and it makes sense with the story of this expansion.
First the San’layn have the potential for numbers. The population of Silvermoon was killed and immediately raised by the Lich King, meaning undead elves are probably the biggest proportion of thalassian elves. In the Alliance quest where we meet them, they bring neophytes with them, which implies the remaining San’layn are recruiting new members among the undead elves.
Second, the San’layn are introduced because they make a deal with Sylvanas to join the Horde. Despite the deaths of the ones we see, Sylvanas might still be interested in pursing that alliance with them, as her position in the Horde becomes more precarious and the other leaders turn on her. It’s possible that she will need their help to survive the rebellion.
That is speculation of course, but it doesn’t make sense for me that Blizzard to bring them up just for a quest on the opposing faction. It’s likely they will have a bigger part to play eventually.
Lightforged undead for the Alliance, regular undead for the Horde. With the void/old god enemies on the horizon it makes sense to recruit undead on both factions, as they have a natural resistance to the void. It also makes sense that the forsaken allied race would be undead, so undead elves are, right now, the most likely candidates, given what we know so far.
No more elves for the love of C’thun.
There will be 4 more races left i reckon
Mechgnomes and Giblin
Vulpera and Sethrak
the only reason why I dont see the night elves being a playable dark ranger if it happens, is because they are not enough , but what can debunk my theory is the exiled void elf group made it into the race category so anything is possible.
They’re a race because Blood/High Elves are so excited about the Void that they turn themselves into Void Elves.
yeah but they started as a small exiled group unheard of from a player perspective, and is now a race + didnt they get tricked and became reanimated so is it possible to create more??
Tricked? No. They get transformed.
oh I thought Nether Prince Durzaan was a friend at first and tricked them
Honestly, I think only mechagnomes and vulpera are likely candidates. Sethrak would be cool, but there’s no indication Blizzard is preparing them for an allied race, and I really don’t see giblins as a likely candidate.
Mechagnomes on the other hand not only have an amazing degree of customisation, but they are also a perfect fit for the next teased class, trinker.
Vulpera we know from datamining are likely to be playable.
Also, consider that the allied races are somewhat connected to our current races, and that every race in our factions is probably going to introduce a race at some point, including the forsaken. Likely an undead race
