Druids already have Druid of the flame customizations to moonkin and cat and fly forms, along with druid of the nightmare customizations to cat , bear and moonkin forms.
Assuming we can customize (and we can) as a villain (druid of the flame & nightmare).
Why cant night elves customize as Satyrs ? It would fit perfectly with all the races who have fel & demonic customizations too. (Example: the Man’ari draenei and the undead night elf castumization and so on).
Or even better a new race (Druids have very few choices for races anyway)
Also they completely match the fantasy of the game and lore backs it up.
What do you guys think ?
Maybe Midnight will finally grant Satyr and Felblood Elf features…? “Uniting the scattered Elven tribes.”
Not sure where nelfs fit into a narrative about QT…but…
I mean the night elves clearly have to do with Musha and the thing is QT represents the sun which represents Anshe.
With Qt and Amirdrassil now being closer to one another it really stands clear that there will be a metaphorical bridge between them or maybe even a real one.
As in chronicle it is said that Anshe crosses a bridge to meet with Musha.
And its not a stretch that the winter queen also is in touch with Amirdrassil.
Sargeras/Aggramar > Anshe
Elune > Musha> Maybe Eonar/ Maybe Xal’atath or maybe even The Winter Queen.
The Winter Queen/Xal’atath> The Blue Child.
We can only speculate who is who but the symbolism is there.
Plz yeah, once I get more than 4 face options, give them all this!
I getchu pal but gnomes are obsolved of sexuality and being pretty and the rule of cool too.
And people want pretty or rule of cool or both.
And night elves are tall amazonian muscle mommies, so sorry. Not us! - you will have to wait!
We are getting this.
I guess I’d hate to bring it your attention, but highly doubt you’d get Satyr Costumization, they’re enemy of both horde and alliance, would make no sense, but keep dreaming
If they are to keep going like this, perhaps the game should simply have a Demon faction in addition to the existing ones. The reasons for including all these various races into the Alliance become evermode absurd.
Im sorry but the Manari are already demons. And theyre part of the alliance.
Dark ranger customization meaning undead night elfs are also part of the alliance.
Both undead and manari (demons) are enemy factions.Along with Demon Hunters.
Satyrs should be perfectly fine.
They’re only part of the Alliance cause it’s a Customization, I’d think someone from Argent Dawn would have done the story lines of Dark Rangers, correctly, there should be no one in RP scenes RPing as a Dark Ranger in cities, they’re all in Undercity, same with Fallen Night Elfs from the Darkshores, research dear…research, Manari were trapped in Argus mainly, if you also did that lore, you’d know what happened to them as well, why, and how they are now part of the Alliance, Satyr is a big no no, that will never happen xD
I really fail to see your argument.
If man’ari can me redeemed so can Satyrs.
Both served Sargeras and Sargeras clearly is Anshe, the God the taurens worship.
Speaking of taurens, theres a customization option where you can make yourself look like an Grimtotem which is a enemy tribe, not part of the horde, neither the alliance.
Famously known from killing the tauren chieftain Carne Bloodhoof.
And even if they cant be redeemed should we all really be 2 factions who race about being the goodie good guys ?
After all we had the Sylvanas loyalist faction not too far ago.
The N’zoth helm thingy (again players siding with the baddies)
along with Xalatath when she still was a dagger.
The death knights , demon hunters, even army of the ligh and void elves are highly morally questionable.
Yes, it’s absolutely insane. I have no other words for it.
But why add to a problem?
It is time they overhaul how factions work completely.
Imagine - the leader of the army of the light, a man who has fought demons for 10,000 years, has allied with them even though by lore they are corrupted to total insanity until the death of Sargeras, who is not dead, because some players thought it’d be cool to be a red Draenei.
Ridiculous.
I could barely, barely have accepted them as part of the Horde. It’d be a stretch, but reasonable as the Orcs would understand their plight.
But that is not what happened.
That’s a lot more than just a few customization options.
So I don’t see it happening.
Add to the problem ?
Dude theres no problem it actually solves some issues like druidism not being a parctice for the majority of races so you cant really have much choice when it comes to creating a druid.
Another thing is - it adds to the freedom of expression.
Musha and Anshe will always be tied up to one another. Even balance druids practice fire spells and astral magics (Musha and Anshe)
Satyrs being tied to both just gives so much freedom for a narrative and integration in any arc vilain or ally.
Yes there is a problem. The problem is that the world doesn’t seem to care one jot about the fact that you’re running around as a literal demon. I have the same feeling when I play MoP as a Pandaren. It really rubs me the wrong way the way the NPC’s are treating me.
I welcome more playable options, but for something like a Satyr that is DEFINITELY their goals are simply so poorly aligned with the rest of the faction that it stretches credulity.
This is the very reason I suggested overhauling factions and adding a demonic faction, and to make sure that NPC’s respond accordingly. Then it can be fine - in fact it can even be great! But this doesn’t make sense.
Monster Faction, Demonic Faction, but Satyr for Alliance, nope.
You guys are too elitist to enjoy a completely plausible scenario.
Satyrs are not neccecerily evil either.

Just like people wanted Naga as a playable race, as former night elves seeking forgiveness so can satyrs be obsolved for they way they are and judged by their actions instead of their appearance.
Plus Xavious is dead and he misled a lot of night elves into becoming Satyrs. You really think non of them would be like “wait a minute im no longer in danger and i can simply live my life now without this lunatic going after me if i abondon his cause”
(not to mention that Satyrs are not entirely wrong about the dream. its just a pretty prison for the wild gods build by the titans. which we slowly learn are not so benevelent as we thaught them to be to put it lightly)
Same happened with the demon hunters, same happened with the manari, void elves, druids of the flame are accepted under the same premis.
Theres not a single principle for this to be denied besides some hardcore roleplay Andies with their own imaginary biasis.
Thats all that it boils down you- you being stuborn.
Theres nothing negative about it too.
satyr and felblood are demons
not elves
personally I think for customization fine, but don’t make the mistake they made with eredar and try to rewrite them into misunderstood lads worthy of your pity and empathy
It’s not plausible, and it has nothing to do with elitism. It’s not that I think Satyr aren’t in the elite and therefore they cannot be playable.
It’s that I think Satyr are demons - and the example you gave involves someone turning back into a Night Elf as soon as they become good, which is a) very unusual to put it mildly, and b) kind of defeats your argument, as that means the good player character Satyrs would just be Night Elves, which are already playable.
Satyr were corrupted by Sargeras directly, just like the Eredar. Getting them back in large numbers is basically next to impossible, and it is bizarre that Eredar are in the Alliance now.
That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be playable - it just means they shouldn’t be in the Alliance. Does that make sense?
Nagas are an interesting case. There have actually been attempts to make them playable, I happen to know, but it’s a challenge technically because many items won’t appear very naturally on them. For example, these summer clothes I’m wearing? What does that even look like when you have no legs for the swimpants to wrap around? And how are you going to do cloaks? And what about boots and pants without it looking completely stupid? Yeah you can wrap them around the tail, but that’s gonna look pretty stupid.
Lorewise, Nagas are now in a state where I think they are reasonable to make playable as part of the Alliance, for the simple reason that N’Zoth is defeated, thus the mind control they were under is gone, and unlike the Satyr the Naga are actually Night Elf civilians. They had no idea they would be sacrificed in this manner, thus their underlying personalities are likely to be good, but they couldn’t control themselves.
If they can figure out how to make them look great, I’ll be okay with them.
Demon Hunters are not evil. They never were. They were misunderstood.
I think the world being believeable is important. I’m not going to deny that Blizzard is struggling with this pretty massively at this point, but I’m always going to argue against making it worse.
At this point, I genuinely think Blizzard needs to think about allowing players to segment themselves into factions - more than the two we have. The hard-line faction divide is dead; now we can do something interesting here.
God, im not even reading your whole romantic novel of you basically saying “no, because i dont like it” as the core of your argument.
Also Nzoth is not defeated.
and the same civilians became Satyrs, led by Xavius who was the right hand of Azshara btw and both the satyrs and the naga mostly served Nzoth.
Though there many tribes of Satyrs and Satyrs served Nzoth via proxy ( Xavius) and now hes dead.
Also it be nice if you could stop spaming the thread with your knucklehead opinion.
We already got your position 10 times over.
You should read it because it goes a lot deeper then ‘no because I don’t like it’ and you are kind of burning your own arguement because why shouldn’t others treat your view in the same exact way?
if you can’t respect other people’s arguements to the point where you simply refuse to read them, are you really in an arguement, or are you talking to yourself in a monologue?
