Scarlet Crusade RP Guilds?

This might be a terrible idea, but I’m interested in roleplaying as the Scarlet Crusade. Are there any guilds on the EU that are focused around this?

I don’t know any guilds, but there are two similar threads on the Argent Dawn forums by different people.

Maybe you could group with them and start your own guild?

What a sudden influx in Scarlet interest, have we gotten any more info about them on the PTR or something?

Wish you luck though, maybe start one with other interested, I’m sure you’ll find a bunch on AD :slight_smile:

Just remember, if you play Scarlets, do -not- approach Alliance settlements, or Horde settlements, both will kill you on sight if you wear Scarlet colours. Admitting you are a Scarlet=Death in Alliance cities, probably just a good old fashioned lynching in smaller settlements, and just having your head taken off your neck in Horde ones.

You will get countless people saying “B-but the Priest Order Hall!” “What, the one where they renounce the Scarlet Crusade and are not Scarlet Crusaders anymore?”

By all means play one. But it will be lonely. The whole world is your enemy…

I reckon you could get an awesome RP Campaign out of a rag-tag bunch of surviving Scarlets, trying to stay ahead of the Horde, the Alliance, the Argents, individuals like Lilian Voss, it would be a proper survival horror type game. It would be a campaign, as obviously you’d end up dead, but you could tell a cracking story with it…(Now starts to give serious thought to the idea…)

In the light of the recent event, warfronts, risen dead left and right, an insane warchief who is electroencephalographly challenged but armed with an empty Old God dagger?

Whenever playing clearly villainous characters (and no, there are no good scarlets, that’s like RPing Lothraxion), one thing that I find sorely missing is accepting character deaths.

The amount of time I saw a demon in Stormwind (Again… in motherfeccing Stormwind) that’s player refused to let any harm come to their character is frankly ridiculous.

Unfortunately, that is a common enough occurance to have made most players rather weary about interacting with characters like that.

So if you decide to go ahead with it, I can only mirror what has already been said above. Make it realistic, don’t stand on Cathedral Square, bellowing about void elves and death knights being a sin that must be purged, then throw a temper tantrum OOCly if people want to kill you.

Stay out of Alliance and Horde lands and be ready to have your characters killed if they encounter travelling soldiers, mercenaries or adventurers.

If the PTR becomes a thing you may be up hanging out at the monastery again, or the palisade I am sure a Scarlet Guild will pop up then gl.

Thinking about it, once more scarlet fans will have proven once again that yes there is still scarlets in Tristful Glades.

Not only that they will have out lasted the forsaken :upside_down_face:
