[Scarlet RP] The Crimson Inherent đŸ”„

Tonight was finally the time for vengeance. The powers of the Censer having been revealed for all to see, the Crimson Crusaders marched towards Agamand Mills, eager to unleash its holiness upon the tainted cliffs. The sacred ritual was channeled by both Arcanist Mephastis and Father Nurind. The men of knowledge and holiness igniting the power contained within the relic.

The display of power soon invoked the attention of Death Knights. Ebon Onslaught. Dark Grail. All bearing the Ebon Surcoat. They surrounded the Scarlets and started their assault. Alas for them, the Holy Relic blasted with untold power and pushed them back. Holy fumes and smokes soon filled the air, empowering the faithful beyond recognition all while hindering the Knights. It was alike their Plague Cauldrons turned against them.

The fight was long and arduous from both sides. Dangerous displays of magics spiced the encounter as Arcane barriers were erected and broken. The Knights had to use their own relic : the Dark Grail to stand a chance against the power of the Censer of Stratholme. Alas, the righteous fury of the Crusader was too much for them and the tainted were forced to retreat. They could harness their rage and anger for another day
Perhaps prepare their next plan against the victorious Scarlets.

On the way back, they found a lone survivor, scavenging the woods. The man came to the entrance of the Monastery. After being tested and welcomed in, he revealed his past to them
Earning him a place within their holy and secluded alcove.

Thanks to the Onslaught and Dark Grail for this night !

So here is my Rifleman who was either going to become a Gilnean Musketeer or a Scarlet Rifleman!

After a failed attempt at infiltrating Hearthglen for supplies, Brother Owen and Darius came back to the ruins of the Monastery. They were greeted by the sight of Alliance soldiers : worgen, elf or Death Knight all alike. Infuriated by the sight of this ilk, the worn and bruised Crusaders attacked to repel the scourgeling and his comrades.

Inside, Commander Clifford, busy with negotiations was betrayed by the Alliance emissary and saw his own soldiers stabbed by the treacherous woman. Healing his soldiers with ire and fervor, he rallied all the defenders of the holy grounds to push the bluecoats out.

Through zeal and steel, the Crusaders stood their ground and claimed victory. Infuriated, Father Nurind refused to assist in the mending of the wounded defenders, blaming the Commander for his gullible mind. The Alliance was not to be trusted ! Such was his lesson for the day
And he had to bear with the consequences and tend to his soldiers alone.

Retreating in their alcoves, the wounded scarlets were slowly healed and patched up by their own efforts. Brothers Khulai, Motreb and Darius had to be shown special care due to their stab wounds or burn wounds. Unable to muster any more will, the Commander isolated himself, leaving Owen to comfort the soldiers.

He devised that the next days would be dedicated to resting, healing. However, it would not mean the Crusaders would grow lazy. Civil duties were to be carried out. Cleaning, sewing, armor repairs
Basic maintenance and tending to the reclaimed grounds. The more ambitious plan was to prepare a plantation close to the Monastery grounds. Indeed, self sufficiency in food supply would be a first step to solidify their position in the North.

Thanks for the impromptu RP with those guys of Duskwood Reserve and Disfavoured who showed up North

The Crusaders set out to investigate the Scarlet Palisade of any threats lurking around after hearing about the pressence of Scourge lurking about. After crossing the remains of Brill and moving forth along the forest, one of the Brothers noticed something in the woods, some wanted to investiagte this, another said it could simply be wildlife. Alas they continued heading for the Palisade for their Mission.

With the Palisade investgated and no threat found, the Crusaders then set out to the woods, going after what might might have lurked there.
Scouting through the woods had proved to be the right choice, as they found what they have been looking for, Death Knights.

The Crusaders spread out and ambushed the Knights with Righteous Zeal, surrounding both of their adversaries. The Knights proved to be strong, their powers able to defile the very grounds they threaded, or to clash with multiple Crusaders and yet still fighting on even terms.

Yet, through all their might and strength in the unholy, they faltered. One of the Death Knights fled after the tide had been turned heavily against their favor, avoiding his demise. The other one was crushed by the joined forces of Brother Ballard, Brother Hasely and Sister Dioni.

With the Death Knights defeated, the Brothers erected a Pyre to burn the body of the Death Knight. A stranger to most of the Crusaders, Richard York played a prominent role and made himself a worthy ally, perhaps even future Brother to their Sacred Brotherhood. Richard was given the Honor to lit the Pyre of the Death Knight. Lord Commander Clifford took the Runeblade of the Fallen Knight, making sure to give it to Arcanist Mephastis to either Destroy it, conceal it or to perhaps find another purpose for this accursed blade.

During the battle Dioni secured crates of Steel and Wood, to be brought back to the Monastery’s storage alcove. On their way back to the Monastery the truth about Dioni’s affiliation came to light. Siding with the treacherous Hilt of Dathrohan and it’s Heretical Adherents. When they had arrived back the crates were stored in the alcove, and Dioni had been questioned about her past and affiliations, after a brief discussion they agreed that she had earned herself a peacful night, would however be without weapons, and be under surveilance from the other Crusaders.

“Let this victory against the accursed Scourge be a testimony of our righteous retribution, and a lesson to all who stand against the Scarlet Crusade!”

Thanks for the Event Erick Heller and Acharon Berwick! :slightly_smiling_face:

Foul Necromancy! Their Commander has spotted a lonely Necromancer on his way to Agamand Mills. He called forth his men in order to purge this Evil from their lands. Having suspected that the Necromancer was heading for the Crypts, their Mission was clear, kill the Necromancer before he can amass an Army of Undead.

They got to their Horses and rode out, the sooner they were there, the less Undead they had to Fight. Once they arrived at the Crypt, they could already feel the foul taint surrounding it. Dismounting and arming themselves they headed inside, ready for whatever the Necromancer would throw at them.

Not far into the Crypt they had encountered the main force of the Necromancer, Skeletons everywhere! The Skeleton proved fierce, managing to push the Crusaders to the stairs as they attacked, but after a long and brutal battle, the tides turned into the Crusaders favor, killing Skeleton by Skeleton.

After the last Skeleton had been rightufully purged, they made their way to the lowest chamber of the Crypt. Even before they had enetred they could see the dimly green lighting surrounding it, along with hearing the chanting of the Necromancer.

They entered the Chamber, and the Necromancer stopped the ritual and turned around. “Who dares to interrupt the rebirth of the Cult of the Damned!? Scarlet Crusaders? Hahaha! Your kind has failed time and time again, fall before the power of the Scourge!” The Necromancer used his unholy powers to resurrect several sekeleton to aid him. “Minions! Sly these fools, the ritual must continue!” Fighting ensued, fighting valiantly they managed to hold their own against the Skeletons, but they could not fight them forever, Owen directed most of the Skeletons to himself, as Clifford charged foward. With rightous fury the sword impaled the Necromancer who shut his eyes open, and looked at the Commander in disbelief. Clifford pulled the sword out, the necromancer fell to his knees, desperatly trying to stop the bleeding. “No! I can’t die now
i am Balcarus, Champion of the Scourge!” the Necromancer cried out. Clifford then used his proficiency in the Light to end the Necromancers existence, soon after he was burned by the Crusaders, then headed home.

A Mysterious Letter was pinned to several Noticesboards around the Eastern Kingdoms.

Brothers and Ssters of Azeroth,
our land is in peril, and it is our divine duty to help it!

Faithful Humans of Azeroth, Lordaeron needs you! Take up arms and rise against the foul Undead menace that plagues our Lands!

They do not care about truces, peace or any Living in this world! Rise and strike down thse foul creatures so that the Living can one day live in peace! See to it that the destruction they have caused shall be paid back!

They know what they wrought, and it is time of Righteous Retribution against the Dead!

Those Humans willing to save this Land and all of Azeroth, meet me in Northshire.

May the Light guide us to Salvation.

A Priest alt of mine can now recruit all faithful Humans loyal to the cause (or about to be) in the South.

Some people may not like it but i think it is acceptable for us to recruit any and all humans willing to fight for us (especially considering our current situation), as the Scarlet Crusade has done so before us.

Scarlets recruiting in Northshire might be a terrible idea imo unless done descritly but still find it a bit of a stretch that I don’t suggest making.

Next lvl: recruitment starts at the stairs of cathedral

To bad the PTR showing recruitment npcs didn’t become a thing, well I am sure you can always count on a few nutcases out there to join up.

In defense of Clifford’s words, even if I disagree with this recruitment

The posters are presented as a regular troop, no sign of Scarlet Flame what so ever. It’s mostly a call to arms against the Forsaken.
Besides, no mention of the Crusade will be done IC by the priest. She’ll be monitoring people like Brother Anton in Desolace back in Vanilla without mentionning the Scarlet Flame. People will be tried and tested to see if they’re worthy to finally have their pilgrimmage North where they will be thoroughly tested and disposed of if deemed a liability. If they succeed those trials of faith and tenacity, they may be induced in as converts.

At least, that’s what I understood.
