it is called rare for a reason I guess 
in case youre unaware, 2000 scraps is well over 25 hours of farming

Why would anyone do something they dont like, for something they probably wont use for this long? This is the part of the game I wont ever touch. It is ridicolous.

Having fun with people inside different groups really helps to pass time. Otherwise yes, as a mount farmer, I subject myself to many different kind of torture that are present in this game, therefore confirming that I am in fact, out of my mind.

Sounds worse than the Silent Glider mount… which has like an 8 hour respawn time to a 1% drop.

ive said it once and ill say it again either make the rare rare or the mount rare not both seems this rare wasnt meant to be spawned in the 1st place

I haven’t even seen a 500/500 yet. Players start before there’s enough of us and most don’t know how to do the event so we always run out of time.
ive seen many of those but no spawns since they made the even harder, foe what reason i cant fathom
Ikr I should have everything 5 days into the patch
not what we are getting at here and you know it, going that length of time without even the rare spawning form the even is crazy
It’s the same type of thread that pops up every patch nowadays. New content mount or item is added it takes a little bit of time to get and people lose their absolute freaking minds
I got mine yesterday 
Even from a no-life perspective it’s not a little bit of time. Even stretched across 6 months it’s not a little bit of time.
Beyond that, I think Blizzard have a tendency to also make the acquisition process rather boring or tiresome as of late.
So not only are you spending a lot of time, it’s also not super fun gameplay you’re engaging in during that time.
Then why play an mmo?
It’s part of the game, the grind has always been there since the entirety of the game. People will grind even though it’s boring as hell to get something even though they will just use it for a couple of days and never to use it again. That’s Blizzard way to keep you hooked to the game by grinding hours and hours of your time just to get one mount.
