Uhm, no? Not in the slightest form. It already happened.
Uhm, no, the opposite: Delves were too convenient…with the prime example of Zekvir’s Lair (?), which had to be excluded from the weekly vault progress because so many players just spammed that one to fill the Vault…
^^ this… If I´m not getting 6 keys, I´m not running 6 delves, period.
Not correct as a blanket statement, for some classes for ex the Candle Confidant @ 626 is BiS in ST /raiding even compared to Mythic raid /639 M+ vault trinkets.
Yes, BUt as you alluded to, if they´re not simultaneously increasing the number of keys you can get per week, increasing teh number of bountifuls up every day means nothing but more choice in which ones to run.
10++ hours to do delves ? I find that a bit unbelievable.
I take 10 minutes to do a Delve. Times 45 that is 7.5 hours. 6 dungeons is ~ 6h total. If you count the time to find a pug to begin with you reach 7.5h really quick, assuming you are a healer/tank. If you are a DD it can be more.
The time Delvers have to spend to cap is on-par with the time required to do M+. And the more skill you got, the faster you farm M+ or Delve. Because more skill == higher M+ level and less dungeons to do. But you also take significantly less time to do a Delve.
Welcome to the club. M+/Raid itemization was wacky for years. Now its your turn to feel the burn.
And it IS frustrating. Because your BiS trinkets are in M+, and you got to farm M+ to get them. Imagine if they were Raid ones instead, and you had to farm Raid. Or, put yourself in the shoes of others. Imagine the BiS trinket dropped in Delves and everyone was forced to farm that.
As you can see, its a sucky situation for everyone. The only way out is a divorce. PvP style.
Also…
I find it terribly unfair that M+ always gets the short end of the stick. We have difficulty PLUS people to deal with (finding a group, relying on others for good and bad… ect…). That is something Delvers deliberately opt out of.
So since we have to deal with that extra aspect, I find it absolutely normal that M+ players get rewards faster.
And if you expect Delvers to get conveniences, then I, as an M+ player want them too. I want my raid gear (Myth Track of course) drop in M+ as well. Cause I want it and I dont want to farm Raids.
That would however somewhat run afoul of the way teh vault is set up, third slot always requires double the effort of the second…
2/4/8 raidbosses
1/4/8 Dungeons (which IMO should also be 2/4/8)
But then for delves linear 3/6/9 unlock? Also, the third delve slot would then be an outlier for the additional reason that it´s now requiring only 1 more complete while the second already requires two more.
We’d like to make it very clear that we’ve never planned to change the Vault requirements for Delves in Season 2. They will unlock with 2/4/8 Delve completions.
We intend to keep the Season 2 Vault requirements the same as they were in Season 1, for all content types.
You may in fact be correct, I´m not at home right now so I can´t log in to confirm or deny (and TBH never really looked that closely because we almost always clear the whole thing, anyway).
But thanks to Kaivax, we know that none of this really matters anyway, as nothing is changing
But this creates the issue that players who do like all content and want to participate everywhere will need to maintain multiple full sets of equipment and not just different trinkets and maybe weapon.
I still support the idea, for the current gearing system, of Blizzard eliminating entirely any gear differences and uniqueness between any modes and make everything available everywhere, with the item level and rate of acquisition being the only differences, and with the additional change that if acquired through PvP then it automatically scales there.
Then a partial divorce would be a fair compromise. Weapons and trinkets unique to each mode. Everything else is shared.
What this allows is for customization of gear for each mode. For M+ specifically, a form of inflation would not be a bad idea throught the season. It prevents people from stalling in a particular level and quitting.
And you could achieve this with an infinitely scalable (but time gated) weapon and trinkets.
Its just an idea. But there are distinct advantages to a divorce.
I wouldn’t consider delves as a viable source of crests honestly beyond buying coins if you have no upgrades in the vault to buy crests with
Nice that t11 gives highest crests but t11 runs take a while and if its still 2 per run, then imo if all you do is delves its still best to just stick to the ilvl cap of normal track gear rather then chasing the dragon (Endgame crests)
