Season 2 ksm requires both tyrannical and fortified 15s in 9.1

I just dont know what blizzard tries to achieve here. Why the disparity between fort and tyr, but not between necrotic and volcanic, for example.

Not that i care. Even with my non meta group facing a demolock and a survival hunter i will do those dungeons on higher than 15’s in any week. But i just don’t understand the reasoning of blizzard.

Blah I was never into m+ except maybe first month of legion. This season was the first time I even bothered doing a +15 for the first time. But well, gotta do what you gotta do. They can be quite fun with a group of friends when you’re all drunk on a friday night.

I just came back from my hiatus, cause I’m leveling my Paladin for TBC, which is so much fun.
But everything i read about the upcoming retail patch turns me even further way from SL…

The disparity is mainly because players, Tyrannical are indeed overturned on +20 or above.

On KSM range on Fortified week the dps don’t need to care about adds damage since 90% of time only tanks will need to deal with that, unlike on Tyrannical where boss targets dps with mechanics.

People complained that there are no groups on tyra weeks, with this change there will be a lot. Also KSM is the “highest” end-goal for M+, and it’s really easy compared to other activities’s end goals. (like CE or Glad).

It’s on the same level as Curve (maybe even easier with ~25% playerbase already has it), at least it will be a bit more exclusive and provides a more long-term goal for m+ players.

Doesn’t that depend a little on ilvl and classes you bring? We already notice a boomy is more usefull for bosses like first boss mists on 200 ilvl than a ret pala on 224 ilvl (same player).

Sounds fair.

If you can’t clear a +15 tyrannical, it’s likely you don’t understand the dungeon encounters.

I don’t like the affix, I think it’s boring and makes certain encounters annoying, but it basically forces players to care about boss mechanics, while stuff on fortified just rolls over.

to be fair, given you time it and you always have the dungeon you re missing that week then one dungeon is enough. however, we dont really have a great track record of timing dungeons on the first try.

On KSM range anything works, that kind of stuff is more useful on 20+ keys when min-max makes a difference.

Not really, +15 keys are really easy nowdays. I’d say comps matter only above 20, until that you can do the key if you know your spec / boss mechanics.

Yes, nowadays. But we didnt get 224 in the first week. It took us 6 months to get this gear.

welcome back!

well, i tend to be more on the pessimistic side of things but the news basically just broke, maybe we should just see how things pan out first.

Is not suppose to you clear +15 on first week/months.

For sure  But keep in mind, boss mechanics and trash won’t change with the new season. So everything we practiced for half a year in season 1, will help us tremendously. (obviously there will be some learning curve for the new seasonal affix, but still you already practiced boss / trash mechanics a lot)

yeah, makes us have some sort of head start and makes things easier for sure, hopefully.

Well, someone just mentioned you should be done with this achievement in 2 weeks :man_shrugging:

Maybe for you, I’m in ~226 since December :stuck_out_tongue: (also I remember getting my first +15 key in ~205 so you don’t need full gear anyway).

This will make getting KSM a bit harder for sure, but in the long run I don’t think it will be that harder. Boosting it will be a lot more costly tho.

This is exactly coming from a meta class. Not complaining, but not every class can do that and need many more months. If we would have a boomy instead of a survival hunter we would also be a lot faster.

Ppl : pls we dont want to play choregast.

Blizzard: oh really? Here we gave you timer also!

Ppl: We dont want tyranical, give us something else.

Blizzard: oh really? Than do tyr and fort at same time.

Ppl: we want some fun stuff, this expansion sucks.

Blizzard: oh really? Then buy 70€ TBC and char boost.

I play an arcane mage so I’m definitely not meta
Imo a great group makes KSM a lot more easier, than meta classes.
