Season of Discovery Class Tuning Incoming - 6 March

To be fair. Mutilate punches. And I do strongly feel like every “meta” rune in the game is hitting way to hard. Like rogues only play mutilate because of how hard it hits the double CP. But literally everything else in comparison that a rogue has access to damage wise is lacking

Too bad BtE with a good ranged weapon can deal similar damage to Mutilate and stuns. You are not getting away from a rogue that has sprint talented, Shadowstep, vanish and QD, you will eat 500 mutilates everytime.

Hunter buffs need a bit more than that to make it viable

Dude you sound Hella sore. And it doesn’t make much sense when if you step into PvP as a rogue it feels pretty terrible currently.

It feels better to play PvP as rogue than ret just because of the high damage you can deal + the long CC chains you can do, and that is by just sitting in a cave with veins that hyperspawn.

But I am honestly not suprised by the people here that talk somuch and haven’t done any decent PvP at all on their characters.
People still complain about SP when it’s capabilities are literally forced into hard casting, and other classes that aren’t good at all in PvP. Rogues and Mages need to be fixed in PvP/STV event, I’ve never seen such lackluster balancing/fixing ever from Blizz.
Rogues literally do their combo and any counterplay is literally countered again by the mere existence of Blind and Gauge. Mages in STV literally roleplay as tyler1 and run down mid/altar with boss and spam 1 button.

These meaningless changes proves 1 thing : blizz balance around PVE and not around PVP

Better reroll shammy or Spriest now if you care about PvP, or just leave leave SOD

well, this even happend on vanilla/2019 classic, the problem here, there will be players where you can kill 4 levels above, and some dont, because every player have a different “skill”

some peoples are tryhard to the teeth, coming up witn engi helm, fap, other consumeables, and some just backpedal, playing for fun, or not for “pvp” at all in open world

i could say the same as an ret when i get lucky on crits, and someone let me hoj him, because he thought i dont attack him

1v1 is TOO situational

  • is the oponent good?
  • does he have pots
  • does he know how every class works
  • does he have all cds
  • is it a 1v1, or does someone attack him while he have a mob in the back and only 60% hp?
  • does he have enough escape room?
  • what racial is he playing
-does he have pvp or pve gear equiped?
-does he have the rank 5 trinket?

There is too much, which makes a 1v1 argue close to irrelevant, in the current “leveling phase”

So tell what is busted, instead of saying it´s busted, i could say omg pala so busted, can bubble, and after the bubble he can use instantly his heal, what heals him up to 100%

make better a suggestion about, WHAT rune causes the problem

i would say Mutilate, cuz it makes every other dmg option TOO useless

my suggestion here would be, to increase the energy from 40 up to 45/50

60 energy is too much, and makes this spell instantly unplayable, in pvp and pve

the most problem about a cheap 2 cp high dmg spell is, u get too much tempo in your opener because close to every rogue, openers, before he getting the next energy tick

which means, u can cheap shot, and instantly mutilate into 4 cp kidney

and about between the eyes, yeah u cant dodge it, but it have a higher chance to miss, compared to kidney.

and Rogue isnt currently that good, when it comes to Raid/Party utility

would love to see, that we bring a grp buff, or a enemy dmg debuff where other players can benefit from it in raids

Rogue is really good in 1v1 etc, cuz of spells like Stealth

but in grp content Rogue isnt that great, and i think grp content matters more than 1v1

Another week of Rogues not getting any love. The only physical damage dealer with absolutely 0 Utility.

Welcome to World of Warcraft since 2005. Thought people wanted the Classic experience? ^^

Hello, the seal of the crusader judgement seems to not benefit the new crusader strike and seal/judgement of martyrdom although they all deal holy damage and should therefore benefit from seal of the crusader jdugement. Is this issue known? Is it intended or will it eventually be fixed?

Have sniper training give 10% crit/dmg/haste, make serpent and traps scape with AP.

werior pvp no? ok uninstal that shhitttt never play again wow.

can i have your gold?

yeah would love to see a rune, who works like deadly brew for rogues, they getting a ap scaling on Poisons

Serpent sting just feels so bad as an dot itself, arcane shot is anyway a joke, and yeah i noticed, trap dmg isnt that great either

i play warior, i see this update and never play again wow unsuscribe and uninstal that game…

for sure, see u back in 24 hours again

See you tomorrow buddy.

Not my problem

It doesn’t become a “skill issue” when it is quite consistent in open world pvp. Literally Balance/SP did the same exact thing and both specs have received nerfs in PvP, yet rogue has been left untouched.

I’m literally casual compared to other rogues that do what you describe, and the fact I wouldn’t need to use CDs most of the time when I would’ve in classic, just further makes the point that any bad rogue can get instant value out of the class against any class provided they know what to do.
Rogue doesn’t have a high skill ceiling in SoD regarding PvP.

Paladins are literally free kills for anyone, damage is too inconsistent outside of crits, barely any defensive CDs outside Bubble and LoH, etc.

Yet it was the basis why certain classes were nerfed already, hunter and balance before P2 were gutted. BM was more or less a joke and Balance saw ranged nerfs which made em way too easy to kill.

Mutilate, Between the Eyes, Quick Draw, Shadowstep, it isn’t just one rune and I’ve probably mentioned it already how I would’ve fixed it to bring rogue actually to a point where it takes effort to play. It is easy power for no effort, just like BM hunter p1 and balance druids.

Mutilate up to 60 energy, like WoTLK counter part. Or if we keep it at 40 energy it is a 1cp move with 10% increased damage against poisoned targets, down from 2cp/20% vs poisoned targets.

Between the Eyes should do 0 damage and be a ranged kidney only if anything, also reduced in range.
Quick Draw no damage, reduced range.
Shadowstep reduced range.

Kidney you worry about Dodge/Parry/Miss in most cases.
BtE you worry about miss, and you don’t need much to make it close to 0% miss.

A rogue that knows his stuff can bring a massive impact, but too bad most people that talk on the forums don’t see a good rogue or play a good rogue themselves.
Rogues can:

  • kick/cc healers/players so you can get a free kill
  • cc players that try to kill your healers
etc, this is massive and people blatantly ignore it, even if they fail they probably get enough attention that the pressure on your own teammates is reduced.

These hunter buffs are joke. Chimera was originally 125% and they couldnt even revert the nerf. 8% buff on serpent sting damage portion of Chimera is also trash, ability has no scaling.
I appreciate the buffs, but this is slight revert of one of the nerfs, if even that.
Back to Uldaman I guess
