I kinda liked the vibe in our small guild with 10 man raiding. Playing on lava lash - eu and we are not many hordies over there. 20 man raiding may ruin it for our guild.

No 25 man is too small and its TBC. You need 40 man so at least 15 people are baboons U have to teach what to do or else its a faceroll and not a challenge.
Also its Classic season of discovery not retail season of discovery. Its enough 10 man raids in retail, if people want 10 man they can play retail or Cataclysm that comes soon.
I think itās the worst idea ever to switch to a 20-player format, even though itās much better than 40ā¦ but then again, 20 players to organise when SOD is pretty chill and weāre reliving the fun of the 10-player raid that no longer exists on Retail.
Itās a shame I wonāt be playing SOD from phase 3 onwards because of this choice, and I think a lot of players/guilds will follow suit because they wonāt want a raid with too many pick-ups.
Please keep the size of the level 50 raid at 10 people.
Right now it is quite complicated to form pug groups for Gnomeregan. I do not know what the exact reason is but thereās way fewer players for this compared to BFD. Healers and casters in particular are quite scarce. Of the three times Iāve hosted one, each has taken around 2 or 2.5 hours to fill.
Since phase 3 will not be at the final level cap yet, please keep it at 10 people and consider adding 20 or 40 people raids at level 60 in phase 4 and beyond instead.

All these changes and talk about helping people to make alts, yet the reputation is a huge stopper for me. Reputations should be account wide or there should be catch up mechanics for alts there too, not to speak about honorā¦
Also I feel like a lot of players and guilds will quit when u change raids from 10 to 20. There for sure should be choice for guilds that want to do 10 player raids to do so if they canāt form 20 player raids. Also there should be more new content to do with just 5 player groups like new dungeons, so far all the new content has been raiding oriented.
Battlegrounds could use some love too, like balancing a wsg lasting forever if you get camped on graveyard for example. And something completely new in the already existing battleground or even new battlegrounds would be amazing.
So far all the max level content has been very raid orientedā¦ We could use the love else where too. Not everyone is a raider, and itās really the only good content there is at the moment when u are level 40.
Also I wish the runes would have not been so powerful, the balance of the classes in pvp and pve is so out of control I donāt feel like you can ever get it right when you add new runes so fast. For example why do you give casters all the amazing runes to survive and do more damage, while adding spell power to almost every item they get from dungeon/raids? That is just crazy. In pvp plate user cant do anything against shadow priest for example. The dots burn you from full hp while they just go to dispersion when u finally get to their melee rangeā¦ Heavier armors should give more hp or resistance, or something, to keep up with the spell power you gave to every casters.
The defensive abilities just have not kept up with the power creep you have given to every damage dealer and mostly casters. Pvp feels stupid and boring when everyone dies so fast, its most interesting when there are actually some real choices you could do instead of everyone just one shotting each other. Damage reduction on pvp is must I feel like, and also balancing abilities in general.
And lastly I would like to see tank builds to actually be useful and to be able to generate enough threat and use shields. Not just DPS speccing every content so you can generate enough threat to keep up with the crazy dps. I feel like tanks have been forgotten in many changes the classes have gotten, even thouh you made more classes to be able to tank.

40 Player Raids were one of the core aspects that had driven me to play Classic back in 2019.
I had loved to see 40 player raids becoming more challenging while you offer more 5- or 10-man content for the casuals.
20 man sounds great for phase 3. I understand that 20 man is easier to manage for raids. It sounds pretty reasonable to me! I trust this DEV team for this change.
and where is the new content? molten core? bwl? really? no one wants this! and then with 20 people? really? i have build a small guild, with my friendsā¦and now? i need 20 people to do the raids?

the other part is a xp buff in the actual phase from 1-39? really? questing and levelning is part of the gameā¦
and then u half the ammount of gold u must spent for ur mounts? this is awful too. u slap the people in the face who spend gold for more than one char/mountā¦

Big fan of the changes, the only thin I think you should change is that the exp buff should not work in dungeons. +100% exp in the open world only, encourages people to actually play the game instead of just instance spam.

Your getting nostalgic of the past. Classic era exists for your style.
SoD is paving a new path in the form of classic.
Tbc is comparable because tbc is similar to classic + as we got the classic vibes and viable classes across the board.
However, it was set in outlands not in Azeroth.
SoD is nothing like Tbc, however taking elements from it success is good practice to make SoD great.
25 or less mans are obviously the way forward.
40 man raids may start off strong, but will die off just as strong.
Please make a season of discovery for retail so we can skip those people from ruining our Classic season of discovery.
We dont want retail raids, we want Classic raids. And if this was meant as season of discovery for people who cant handle mythic in retail why name it Classic?
We want fresh Classic season of discovery then with 1-60 leveling in 1 phase, with runes and all content but with normal 40 man raiding and upgraded loot.
You skipped making fresh servers so this is only fresh Classic we have and the peak point of it is the 40 man wipe with 1 hunter pulling boss etc. itd.

you cant just split the player base, if the difficulty of the 20 man is the same as the 40 man, why would the rewards be āweakerā in the 20 man when its scaled for 20 man and the rewards in the 40 man be more powerful when you have 20 more people and the raid is scaled for 40 people? whereās the logic in that.
jeez its a temp game mode, let people of what ever level have fun.
Please make all end game raids a 20 man size option.
Arguments:
- Easier to administrate makes it more accessible for wider audience
- Less barriers to entry and would encourage more people to host spontaneous raids without spending too much time on admin
- 20 man raid leaves more room to chat and voice opinions. 40 man raiding becomes to top management heavy as itās to cluttered to have 40 people discuss or have opinions
Best would be to have both options, but if you have to choose please go with 20 man all the way.
If you look into past data Iām fairly sure 40man raiding also has greater domino effect on player retention as when people quit itās more likely to cause other to give up as well because how much effort it is to get thing going
Please keep things to max 20man Raids.

The only way I could see this work would be with MC being 20 and Onyxia>BWL>AQ40>Naxx being 40. This way, really serious guilds would go 2x 10 MC into a 40 man Onyxia and above. Casual guilds would ofc remain at 20 MC, ZG, AQ etc.
