Dont play it if u dont like it
You dont get it, SoD isnt era nor is it retail, so you wanting SoD to be as braindead as Era is wrong, just like it is wrong to make it a retail 2.0.
Now here is the deal, the only people who say SoD is retail 2.0 didnt play retail for the past 10 years, the difference between gnome in SoD and even NORMAL mode raids on retail is still insane, so dont worry, SoD wont become retail, even if it gets much more difficult.
This. Is. Friggin. Awesome!
While I would prefer raids to remain 10 man, given that thats what a good chunk of guilds are built around at this point,20 man seems like a manageable middle ground.
While 40 man raids were a core part of the vanilla experience, weâre not playing vanilla, weâre playing classic. The game at its core might be the same, but its nothing like what vanilla used to be like. People are (in general) way more knowledgeable about the game, wich resulted in basically all of the raid bosses in classic to be turned into glorified loot pinatas, wether your guild was tryhard or not. Iâd much rather see smaller sized raids with actual relevant mechanics that are an actual challenge to complete, than 40 man raids where bosses just have higher numbers.
Very good ideas blizzard!!! Can you add Heroic mode to 5mans dungons please? better loot, harder boss? =)
Please donât remove 40 men raids, let 40 men size, donât do that to us T_T
Donât listen all these casual daddies who want 10 men only, they wipe at Gnome and die in fire on the floor in 2024⊠we want the huge raid environment, itâs the classic spirit and thatâs what sod should be, enhance the class who cant be playable, add new content but not downgrade the experience to a retail like thing ⊠we do want big communities, big guilds with people being polite with each others, not these 10 men size raid with princess who Gquit or go in pick up whenever they are not happy with something, it kills the community, it kills the spirit of wow classic and thatâs why retail failed
i like all the changes, except for the xp boost increase, since classic is alot about leveling even with all the runes now, making you want to explore the world instead of dungeon grinding. maybe put up a 100% increase to levels 1-25 and then a 50% increase to levels 25-40, and only for open world and not inside instances.
other than that, massive W, raid size change is a good idea, maybe leaving some raids at 40?
Hi â a system like Mythic+ for endgame at level 60 would be amazing. Rewards could be Weekly Chest or Tokens to be used to purchase Raid gear.
There are so many fantastic dungeons in vanilla, many of which would be given new life as Heroic/Mythic level content.
It would also give 5-man groups an incentive to play together.
The 40-man raid concept is a nostalgic dream, nothing more. There is no way the game would thrive having 40-man raid guilds with the extreme logistics required. It would fall apart and have a few large gulds remaining. It would work initially, but will fall apart rather quickly once people realize that 24/7 recruiting is required.
Iâve been playing since the very first day the game was released in 2005 (well, I opted out of retail after legion) and I remember the epic feeling of the large scale raids, but nowadays itâs not worth it. Most of us are older gents now with jobs and families. WoW isnât the be-all and end-all anymore.
The younger players arenât used to 40-man raids on the other hand, and wonât find organizing them very appealing. They want to zoom in and zoom back out.
Obviously Iâm speaking in general terms here, but Iâm pretty sure leaving the raids 40-man would be a bad idea.
I honestly wish 10-man raiding could stay weâve been building a small 10/12 ppl group of IRL friends half of them have never played WoW before and its been such a blast being able to progress together through BFD and Gnomer soon. Please consider keeping 10ppl raiding around.
Amazing experience apart from that
I miss achievements - It would be nice if they were brought back into SoD - it was something nice to do while waiting for raid reset
There is an icecream vendor in the Shimmeringflats
Go Classic Era stop complaining
Says the guy playing a season for said braindead content lmao
20 man raids are still far too large for pugging.
Just look at the small difficulty bump going from BFD into Gnomeregan and how massive an impact it had on player participation - and that is while Gnomeregan is still 10 man.
If there is such a strong wish for 20 and 40 man raids (by more than just a vocal group), then in order to make the content still pug-viable, the lockout system pretty much needs to change to the retail format of locking loot eligibility per boss and not lock player access to the whole raid with a raid-wide ID.
I can only imagine the epic struggle of trying to make a 20 man pug raid with multiple bosses. This wonât be fun.
It is already difficult to get a 10 man Gnomeregan going on some lower population servers.
Spot on!
Its almost like there was a reason 40 man raids were abandoned going into tbc, and have never made a return since.
Having the biggest hurdles to clear raids consistenly be finding 39 otherpeople and more importantly keeping enough of those people motivated to keep clearing the same content for a good while just feels icky at this point. Iâd rather have the most difficult part of a raid be the actual raid itsself.
Yeah, yet contradictory, people cried about Gnomeregan being âto hardâ for PUGs and cries about nerfing TBC content (SC/TK etc) came within days of release. Not that I wouldnt want it, but I doubt a majority of dads would.
Queue threads about â2 items per boss dropping for 40 man is to low, Im not even close to BiS and Ive done 2 resetsâ ^^
Who did complain? Not me for sure
I want you to fix the stupid runes that are objectively crap across the board and stop dragging your heels on the issue. Hunter runes from day 1 has required an entire overhaul from P1 and P2 did NOT fix the issue by adding in further useless runes.
Endgame this endgame that HOW ABOUT YOU FIX CURRENT GAME NOW?
Please make ranged hunter worth playing.
And for melee hunter, please make 2-handed at least fight within spitting distance of dual wield, even after the recent 30% nerf.
Spamming 2 abilities is not interesting gameplay.
