If someone adds my character as a friend, can they see me online even if I do not add them back?
Yes - I’m uncertain if they’ll see you online if you list yourself as offline on the Battle.net launcher (it’ll show you as offline to your guild on retail for example), but the list doesn’t require mutuality to notify someone when a person goes online.
It depends.
Character(Aka in-game in WoW) friend?
Yes they can add you and see you online wether or not you add them also. Also you won’t be notified that they’ve added your character to friends. This counts ONLY for THAT ONE character though.
Battletag/RealID?
Won’t be able to add you unless you agree to adding them and thus wouldn’t see you online if you do not agree. Not adding them there does not stop/prevent them for having your character added however.
Adding them would also show you online regardless of what character(or even oher Blizzard games) you were playing.
Yes I did mean in-game. Thank you for answering!
