If you’re having that much trouble justifying the difference of 5 Euros per month, then you should do the right thing and unsubscribe. Good luck with your real-life bills!
Totally missing the point. 13 euros is cheap for someone that plays Retail + Classic. It is expensive for someone that plays only classic. I can play 13 euros per month, however, i find it hard to justify paying such value for casually playing Classic only.
If 13 euros is nothing for you, gratz to you. Indeed i have other priorities and i might follow your advice.

I only play Classic and haven’t touched retail in over a decade, and I find the monthly subscription justified, not because 13 Euros is nothing for me, rather because the content is fun and engaging for me, regardless of how you described as a finished product etc.
If you were enjoying the game to a certain extent, and found the monthly price above the acceptable line, fine that’s your opinion, you would then either choose to continue paying for the sake of enjoyment, but you refused, and instead chose to cancel your subscription due to the fact that you have real life obligations.

There’s dozens of game waiting for me on Steam and even on gamepass (1 euro for 3 months was a bargain) Lots of content too see on Netflix (sharing account with family makes it cheap). Indeed its my choice not continuing to pay 13 euros for classic, with all the good stuff out there, i cant justify it, but it does get me sad not being able to play once in while… we cant have everything in life.
What is stupid about sub fee? They charge it because they can and they do it, it is WoW after all.
Distribution platforms and prices there are dfferent story, easily forgettable games for 2 euro.
Sub money from classic is going for retail, so i agree.

I just looked at an inflation calculator for Euros and in real terms the price should have increased 44% if it was inflation linked, which means it should have gone up 5.77€ to 18.77€ since 2005.
Which means in real terms the price has gone down so you are already getting more value for money, then they add Classic for free and it’s even better.

I pay 26€ for 2 accounts. For me this near Classic experience is worth more than BfA or Shadowlands mid expansion fiasco, when they didn’t knew what to do with their game. So Blizzard marketologist can name it whatever they want, but I am paying for Classic and Classic only.
Make a classic sub seperately but ask 20 euro’s a month for it.
Right now the costumer support is in actual shambles for both Classic and Retail.
Increase the sub cost and create a classic exclusive costumer support with these extra funds, alot of ppl will be thankfull for it…
My ticket is 24 days old and have to wait about 10-14 days MORE untill I finally get a response, hoping it’ll be usefull…
cheaper is better for us (less dollars, more number of players), more expensive is better for Blizz (more dollars, less number of players). The market price will be calculated to maximize profit (dollars * number of players).
there is no concept of “intrinsic value” linked to cost really. The price for anything is what you are prepared to pay. Unless of course you apply the Marxist approach that states that the price of a good is determined by the labour that goes into it.
Heh, by that logic every form of media that’s older than a decade should be almost free, ranging from video games, movies, series, books, comics, music, etc.
Unfortunately for you, they’ll charge as much as they think they can get, even if the maintenance/development costs to them are a fraction of that.

Just because you get your a$$ handed to you in AV doesn’t mean you get to spread misinformation. A Russian sub is 649 rubbles which is a whopping 65p less than what I pay in the UK.
Just be glad you’re not in the US where they have to pay 15 Dollars which is £3.30 more than I pay
Classic is not free at all, with same subscription we all can play any live versions what we want.
When we don’t need to pay anything, then it’s free.
When we can enter to classic realms without payments, then it’s free.

yes but it was like that for many many years while they just adjusted it and it still cheaper than other eastern eu countries, in those countries 1 $ is quite noticable, and it was more than 2 back then so it was like 30% and no one were surprised
and why do u even bring some thrash bg argument? i dont even care about russians in our battlegroup because more players = better overall experience (even tho av actually seems bad)
in countries like romania, bulgaria minimal wage is like 300-400euro, while in ur uk its 1300 or sth, trust me they count every pense … to play games

I agree, “classic only subscription” should be cheaper or completely free.
There is very good reasons.

Smaller community, and not so much servers than in other versions.

Poor customer service and GM’s are literally gone.

Smaller content.

Deveploment is done, there is not any upcoming patches.

It feels stupid when players need to pay monthly subscription for the 18 years old game.
