Seramate: New Way to Check PvP

You gotta find his main char he has most titles on and update it

Oh ye it worked, mb

Good page tbh. is it possible to add archives for previous older seasons? I see it works until SL s1 but would be nice to see bfa/legion and possibly even wod/mop ladders, also same for shuffle last season.
I think its interesting because you can see how the game changed over time, which players used to play, cutoffs of older seasons etc. I know Xunamate supported until s3 of WoD but idk how far the technical limitations are there.

Ive added a couple BfA seasons. Will add more in the coming days.

Just a quick PSA: it seems seasons older than BfA s2 are unavailable in blizz API.

I just remembered somethingā€¦ One thing Iā€™m missing from all these sites, which was unique (as far as I know) to Xunamate and the biggest reason, for why it was my go-to site for checking player exp, was that it displayed the date for when a player reached his max exp in a bracket. This might seem unnecessary to some, but it was actually extremely helpful information regarding player exp.

The dates have to be available in the API, since Xunamate was able to track stuff dating back to 2009. I feel like the box containing playerā€™s exp has some space left on the bottom of record, which looks like it should be filled. :face_in_clouds:

Would be wild if you were to add that.

Are you sure youā€™re not confusing it with 2700 achievement date? As far as I can see, only 2v2 & 3v3 highest ratings are available in the API. Thats why I have to track rbg & shuffle highest ratings on my end. This is also why there is no S1 data atm.

Sorry, I meant the dates of 2v2 and 3v3 max ratings only, for rbg and shuffle you can only do it on your end, ik that much.

This is what I mean (have to mutilate the link to be able to post it):

Iā€™m assuming Xuna got that information from the API, otherwise he wouldnā€™t have been able to date the 3v3 max rating on my dk back to wrath S6. Iā€™m not sure, never accessed the API myself, maybe they removed the dates by now?

No, youā€™re right, im just stupid. Found it in the API. Now I have to figure out where to put itā€¦

Iā€™d suggest to put it somewhere close to the record rating. Maybe just below it in the same box, so we can check how high someoneā€™s max exp is and when it was achieved, both at the same time.

Iā€™m thinking a popover upon hovering over record rating value might do the trick. Otherwise the box gets too big.

Looks clean af and literally has everything :fire:
The game history and ā€œrealā€ talent trees instead of just a list of talent names are fantastic additions, definitely my new go-to. Also, even though itā€™s just a nice little detail, I really like the thumbnail design when sharing direct links.

A few small inputs:

  • ā€œChecked byā€, ā€œlast updateā€ and ā€œlast onlineā€ are displayed twice, values seem to be the same. The ones next to the alt list could be omitted if they really are the same.
  • The info-icon for ā€œhighest rating achievedā€ doesnā€™t always show, even after updating. This seems to happen for chars with 0 games played in a certain bracket for the current season, 2v2 on my Shaman for example.
  • Since this is a PvP tool, only showing the PvE ilvl is pretty pointless imo. It should be possible to get the PvP ilvl from the API, check-pvp has it too, so maybe show that one instead, or both like ingame.

Thanks!

  • Yep, thatā€™s something to look at. I think I might replace that with a small table with some stats like achievement points, etc.
  • For the info-icon to popup you might need to update the char. And it is only supported for 2v2 and 3v3 at the moment. It might take up to a minute for pvp boxes to refresh when there is an activity update going on(~every 3hr). Iā€™ll fix that in the coming days. And your sham seems fine.
  • My thoughts exactly. Sadly, there is no data on PvP ilvl in the API so the only way out is to calculate it on our end. This is what check-pvp does.
