same, have to close game and relaunch between ANY character swap, super annoying
Okay! So I read a comment on a reddit thread about this, and they said to go back to Moratari npc and watch the cutscene. THEN I could hand the quest in and loot the chests!
Just got booted and another rol back, seems like things are finally starting to work. I can progress quests.
Same here. I can even get stuck using the portals or entering the dungeons. Plus, my key bindings keep resetting each time i start the game. Yesterday everything was fine (before the patch).

An update was posted here:
We’re seen reports of an issue with the first quest (Time Crisis), which can desync your character, and prevent you from turning in the quest. Closing the game and logging back in should solve the issue.
As a reminder, the error message saying that a character already with that name already exists is completely normal, and happens when you left the game (either with ALT F4 or got disconnected). The game will need about 5-10 minutes to disconnect your character from the game, allowing you to log back in.

ok but what about the issue also in Retail? this has nothing to do with the first quest of Remix

was no other way to go out wow then close game full in windows and now my legion remix char stay online and wil log off. i cant cant log on him.
The word smooth isn’t in blizzard there dictionary like always

Sorry to say, but this is not the issue.
Here’s what happens.
1: You load in, complete first quest, then try to complete the second one from Khadgar.
It wont complete and once you try, your char is FUBAR. Can’t activate skills, can’t log out, gotta Alf-F4.
If you disable all addons (Or in my case, SpartanUI) you can complete the quest and continue.
If you enable the addons again and then try to complete the NEXT quest, the exact same thing happens.
So it aint the quest, it happens at any quests if various addons are enabled. And even some saying it happens without addons.

the third quest also did that , when u talk to khadgar to return the killing mobs quest u get desyncd
If this is an addon related issue, you’d need to update these addons (or wait for their creators to update their addons).

I have no addons and same issue, character jammed after clicking on Kadghar 1st quest. I will try giving it 10 mins to re-synch my character
just open second WoW, after 2. log in and your 1.WoW log out, turn off both, then log in with different character, wait like 10-30sec, and then you can log in back to your 1. character
This is not a problem with this specific quest only. I get this exact problem every 20-25 minutes.
Can’t turn in any quests. Can’t logout. Alt+F4, wait 10 minutes. Log back in. Turn in fine. Repeat…
No, the problem is more serious than it seems. WTF causes problems even with folders created from scratch after deleting the Cache and Interface.
The issue is the same in Remix and Retail, hence my previous answer 
The team should look into both

Can you double check the “Load out of date addons”, and make sure that outdated addons aren’t enabled please? And then give it another try.
If the issue persists, try to disable all addons.

Same problem, i deleted all addons and no result

I have deactivated all of my addons, the issue remains the same, in Retail. Seems to be ok in Remix tho, so far
