Server maintenance on 17th November

Hi,

I just noticed that there will be a server maintenance for WoW Classic between 03:00 and 05:00 on Wednessday the 17th of November. This is 3 hours after the release of Season of Mastery.

Does anyone know if this will affect the seasonal realms as well? In that case it feels like a poor timing to close down the game 3 hours after release.

I saw this earlier, it feels kinda bonkers to me that the realms could need scheduled maintenance 3 hours after going up. Even a rolling restart will be a pita if it forces us to queue again

To be frank most things with Season of Mastery feels rushed. Like why is there less than three weeks between the announcement of the release date and the actual release?

I love Classic. It’s by far my preferred version of the game. I play TBC: Classic exclusively when and if I play World of WarCraft and it’s been like this ever since WoW: Classic was released.

I know a lot of people who loves classic and has TBC: Classic as their main version of the game. Barely any of them are even aware of Season of Mastery releasing tomorrow.

The lack of proper communication surrounding Season of Mastery and how it’s being rushed out of the gate in this fashion is killing a lot of its potential as even those who might be interested seems mostly unaware of its release.

This lack of information surrounding the release of Season of Mastery and the upcoming maintenance schedule makes it seem like Blizzard isn’t aware of the situation themselves…

Good question. If anyone has an answer that would be great.

probably all night login issues from 0:00 anyway. so they might just use the downtime to fix stuff.

at least i wont stay up for the launch

Well this looks promising:

I hardly think so, if Classic Era is anything to go by then there will probably be a few thousand more logins worldwide.
