Server Population Data (Overpopulation?)

Is there any information on the current server populations for WoW Classic?

I’m on at 4am due to being ill and not able to sleep and I am astounded by the amount of people I am seeing online. Every area has a mass of farmers from both Alliance and Horde, ganking is actually worse than during the day and it is pretty much impossible to get things done.

I never remember populations being this extreme during Vanilla. Yes of course there were a good number of players online at night but never this many. Surely the servers must be massively overpopulated for this to be the case and if this is true why are Blizzard not addressing it?

Does anyone know the server population numbers and the comparable numbers between classic and vanilla?

Don’t think anyone knows any official numbers. But one thing is certain and that is that the servers are all massively overpopulated. The low-medium servers of Classic are more in line with a high/full population server back in Vanilla.

I play on a medium server and there’s more than enough activity. And as we speak, there are people out and about minding their business.
I can’t even imagine how it is on the “mega servers” such as Firemaw and Shazzrah.

I don’t know what else Blizzard can do but cap the servers for big f*cking queues, so that people might transfer to lower pop servers. Better yet, make one or two new PvP servers for the mass exodus; as well as another PvE server, as they’re overpopulated, as well.

I have my doubts that people would go through with it. Most of the idiotic people whinging about full servers and getting farmed and camped and what not, are people too stubborn to migrate off their server in the first place. Excuses ranging anywhere from having friends on the server, guilds and even reserved character names. The ones to blame are the players.

Edit: And I say this as someone who’s well aware of the utter incompetence of Blizzard.

Lol
Crazy tbh.
Plz close transfer on my dead realm.
We enjoy the 5-10 players a zone during nights.
Ours feel normal as 2004.
And I think we got those 5k pop at peak.

I think it’s at least 10 on urs

Reason: ppl cryed a lot
Increase pop the first month

So and blizzard don’t care

5k pop at peak ? Plz dont share false information because it’s far away from that on Judgment. Thx.

I know that when the addon was working I was getting thousands of players online on each new scan. I used to scan both factions and some had 50k+ characters, but not all online at once.

If I was to guess I would say the population when the queue starts to form is about 10k.

Who are you?

I said

Now I checked logs.
Those who downed a boss and are registered on logs 850 players.

That’s the only data you can get for real.
Then we have a few 3-5 guilds who ain’t using logs. So let’s divide 850 with those we know logs (14)

850/14 - that’s 60 a guild.
We have around 3 ally site I know of who ain’t logging let’s go to 5. I don’t know everyone. (horde + ally let’s add 5x60 that 300 + 850 = 1150 which are raiding)

That’s only 60ths which are raiding.
1-59?
Those who don’t raid?

Again I think don’t count as that’s how it is.
Anyhow bottom line is, judgement is pretty decent. And in my opinion, they should close the transfer - before it gets too overcrowded.

But listen. That’s my opinion.
No reason to point fingers.

But maybe show ur character?
Hate to debate when I don’t even know if ur just a lvler with no guild and no clue yet.

Or a person who ain’t a part of the community. We kinda agree in the guilds that’s it’s quite alright and we don’t really need more ppl’s.
We need a few locks that’s it.

Anyway: back to topic
We just don’t want judgement to be like that.
That’s the point.
