Server Transfer, which one?

Hi, I am Starzx I play paladin on sulfuron French PvP server and I’m looking to transfer on another realm since my server is completely dead, I searched on websites about server population and it seems like my server is like top 3 on EU population, the thing is people play only at 6pm until maximum 10pm and EVERYTHING is completely empty after that. The morning, the night, even afternoon it’s impossible to do a dungeon cause you can’t find anyone in one hour and than the others left.

I understand some have jobs and family, but not everyone work on the same time, some work at night, some at day, morning … There is even people like me where they have sometimes 1 week and they don’t even work at all and play a lot.

I can be online some weeks on day, some weeks on night, morning … it depends.
So what do I do if nobody is online beside queuing AV, even gold farming… the economy on this server is completely wrong. I can’t have fun on my server and I’m looking for one that have:

  1. People playing at all time in a day, not only 3 or 4 hours for doing a raid than log off. That is 95% of my server population doing this.

  2. Normal economy (items should be higher at the AH than the price of vendor sell lol … )

  3. People speaking at least english since I speak french but I understand english pretty well.

If anyone can help me finding one like this ^^

I know not every server are like this since I watch some streams from firemaw and stuff like that. I’m alliance, so servers with 75% horde is kinda bad too.

Just choose the most populated balanced/alli heavy server, those servers probably have players that playibg at night too.

Afaik firemaw is the largest one, not sure about ally %.

I think most servers have less folks during off hours. Mograine/Gehennas could be a good pick if you wanna be able to Dungeons during midday. Im on Mograine and we have a few late night raiding guilds also. Firemaw is full I think.

As long as you stay off the low/med pop realms you should be fine.

Edit: Also check Eartshaker. Probably one of the few high pop realms with majority Allie players

For the moment I kinda want to go on firemaw, but still hesitating

TLDR not sure if you wanted PvP or PvE but for PvE Pyrewood Village is VERY popular on the Alliance side. You can get any dungeon anytime of day.

Mainly a PvP one but I can go on a Pve if he is really good

Weird, Sulfuron is one of the most crowded realm with Firemaw and Gehennas.

But well, since there’s nothing to do in the game anymore for players that started in August, they login only for raid. Add the fact that there’s a new private TBC server that was released 2 week ago, the Classic population is now less and less.

Maybe try to make level 1 on Firemaw or Gehennas and check if it’s ok for you.

I’ve played on 3 different realms so Far, Gehennas, Razorgore and Zandalar Tribe, Zandalar Tribe, despite being smaller than the other 2 are the only one that feels alive. It seems the other servers are strictly full of raid loggers, and since RP servers naturally attracts people that hang around in the world doing various silly things.

With that said it is an RP-pvp server, so if that isn’t your cup of tea you might not enjoy it.

Even if people are fully geared, they can still do things, but on sulfuron they just don’t do anything beside raid and do stockades non stop

min/maxing kinda killed doing instances for gold farming. In Vanilla we still used to do instances on most evenings, just for the fun and to make some gold, but in Classic every class has a more efficient solo farm possibility or people just make a Mage/WL/Hunter to farm.

But the raidloggers might run out of gold at some point in the future and maybe at least a few of them are starting to do instances again :).

This is today the day I will transfer, still looking. Really appreciate all the info so far, if you guys still have something for me, I’m down.

Tip of the day - choose some private server.

Update: I made a lvl 1 character on multiples servers : Firemaw, gehennas, Mograine… and it seems to be the case for everyserver.

So it means that the game is basicly BGs or gold farming on classic. Raiding few hours per week. Well that is really sad

Edit: From what players says on every server I’v been on. Not on my personnal knowledge

So there we go, my decision is to stop classic cause the game is sadly dead, beside raiding once a week.

I got curious and just log on into bfa, than brought a character boost with shadowlands edition, and even tho it’s bfa, I don’t like the world of bfa etc, I like the 8.3.0 and I am enjoying. Honestly classic needs dungeon finder with mixed servers, cause it will 100% die. It’s just dead, nothing to do down here. Thanks for all the answers btw, after trying like 10servers, asking different people (more than 50) Classic is kinda dead atm.

Classic is not as alive as it was 15 years ago, that is for sure!

Because playerbase is actually decreasing, rather than generally increasing over the duration of 2 years, it is difficult to find a group for dungeons everywhere.

Best bet would actually be to go the RP server, people take it so easy there they are still busy levelling their first char and dungeons can be found reliable.

idk what his problem is to be honest.
yeah on smaller servers it’s probably hard to get groups for things but on bigger realms you always have people twinking, not that hard to find a grp for things.
and while you are looking for grps in world channel you can still quest, it’s not like you are searching 1 hour for a grp of people and do nothing useful in that time.
