Nobody is surpised by this. The issue is that its normalized when it shouldnt be. Blizz as we know is a small indie company which is not testing its content for months before it goes love so ofc this can and will happen and its fine. Oh wait …its not… thats the point of this thread in case you missed it …and you did! xD

And the ‘‘Instance Failure: Aborted’’ is because of portals not being tried on Beta aswell, right?

Is not normalized but anyone that is not a 10yo spoiled kid or a manchild that takes a day off for a patch in a vg(lmao) knows that thing in the work world do not always go as planned and there might be inconvenience.
Annoying? Sure.

the jist of the thread is ‘servers down into 3rd hour not the 1 we were told’
Things break and sometimes things break bad. No amount of testing will prevent every single thing being fixed.
Anecdotal i know but someone i know spends months and months in alpha and beta cycles for their work apps. Once the major stuff is patched out and its overall stable from the testers its rolled out & you can bet that there’s so many bugs and breaks from so many more people using it with diff setups you cannot physically forsee.
apps/computer programmes and server setups are not simple as people make out & things take time to find the issue (in potentially trillions of lines of code) and then develop a fix for it. It sucks for end users and more so now due to no real explanation or contact from blizz.

I mean, I work in software industry as a tester, and I am pretty sure that blizz has the money for performance and stress testing, both of them being available in very large amount of requests, both of them being pretty expensive in large number of requests, but still, mandatory in cases of big patches.
Fast forward to today, the fact that they have problems with the code, doesn’t really excuse them for the lack of communication, that even a f2p game has with its community (here we should talk about even more transparence, as we play monthly for this, and they seem to not do anything with the money).
Also seeing people that said:“they have a bunch of free testers, but they kept encrypted blah blah”. Guess what: Every single application should also have a paid team that handles the QA side, with nonenecrypted apps (we are not talking about national secrets here, but a game, so there is no reason to keep encrypted data in a company QA team.
So instead of hiding the simping of blizzard behind logic, start using logic in seeing the flaws, otherwise blizz will think :“Oh, it’s fine. We have people supporting our lack of communication, of stress testing and so on, because they said it’s pretty logic”.

Not his fault that a billion-dollar company cannot keep servers up due to unexpected challenges. That is the billion-dollar company’s fault, that is why he complained about taking the day off only to be let down by Blizzard.

Yes, quite right… Diablo isn’t very good anyway, and if blizzard want to try to push more players from WoW over to Diablo, they are going to have to mess up far more server restarts than this!
I’m wondering whether the US servers are down too?
If not; why not? Why do EU servers have an issue that the US ones do not?
