yep but good luck getting a day back of game time and why in gods name do they release the whole new char stuff at the same time as a new world event and new mega dungeon witch they knew was going to be done a lot and did not think that way and so people could not get into it cause the dungeon server was overloaded
Anyway, I would like to remember you guys that tomorrow is going to be the last day of Steam Summer Sales. Might be worth a look before itās too late, while you wait!

It seems like they encountered some reason to restart the server, something patch related.
Originally it said the server would be down for 1 hour. Usually when it says that, the servers are back up within 10 - 20 minutes (software restarts).
At around 20 minutes after the servers had shutdown, I and a few people I know all managed to log in and got to a loading screen, which froze and then we all got the error message saying āNo World Server Availableā.
So then they probably tried to do a hardware restart, which usually takes much longer. After that they removed the estimated time from the Breaking News on the login screen.
Right now we can get through the login server to see the Realm Selection list, but the World servers are still down.
Also about an hour ago, we could get to the loading screen.
So it seems that now they are having some issues with restarting the World servers. Whatever the original issue was.

support a triple a company with years of experience for not being able to release a proper patch its insaneā¦they could test the new patch before releasing it over and over but it typical blizzard release and if its broken who caresā¦like seriously.its also a pay to play game.this 3 hours will i get something in return?i guess if you prepay for food and they deliver it to you 5 hours later it will be ok for you.essentially you pay for 720 hours and you get 717 its called a scam in the real world.

Funny how my man? I expect (and i guess anyone else does) to get something in return if we pay for it. Its not about the quantity of money, its about the principe.

Itās amazing how a multi billion dollar company canāt even keep servers running.

Plug the servers back in please, bored now.
such a feeling that some one from diablo4 dev team took some responsibility with WOW with last patch and this is result.
Now, Iām sure theyāre just trolling us at this point. No way they couldnāt solve the problem in more than 4h.

For me personally, the disappointment does not lie in the servers being down. Sometimes no money in the world can speed up fixing a software problem.
The disappointment is in not having any communication about what is going on and an estimate how long it might take.

Since they took down not only game servers but world server too (one that manages game servers) - it really looks like set of action to restore back ups. In my mind they rolled out few hotfixes after patch that broke database. And now they try to restore back ups

Im happy for them to take a day and work those bugs out (course it had better be minty fresh and sparkling when they do come back!!LOL).
And issues could STILL arise when they very well bloody apply it to the live servers!
No, and youāve agreed to those terms within the ToS - so go you.
This isnāt a fast food delivery - they usually donāt have bugs that appear outta nowhere.
Youāve agreed to the terms of service, where they mention that they will not compensate you for things like this.

But realistically speaking, your disappointment SHOULD be towards Blizzard for being so damn incompetentā¦ I mean honestly, with all their money and resources, there is no reasonable way it should take 4 hours (and still counting)
Their ToS is null and void simply due to the fact they are legally obligated to make it very clear what you agree to, and not hide it somewhere in the middle of a 200 page essay, yet that is exactly what they do anyway.
And they have.
