The introduction of LFR added to this (Although I have used LFR exclusively for a few years but mainly through disaffection for the game at times, the last time I raided seriously was in MoP.)

Possible changes or fixes.
I’m not sure my suggestions would even be possible but what if Blizzard introduced servers that did not have Dung/Group finder or LFR and offered free one way transfers for characters to those servers.
I honestly do think that this could help to recreate a lot of the missing community spirit that existed pre Wrath introduction of those community killing tools. That way there are choices for players disaffected with the current game modes. Then again this could be a terrible idea.

It will because suddenly you’re stucked on your server to pug anything. It makes you accountable for your poor or good behavior.
Moreover it reduces the pool of potential pug, bringing back again the huge importance guilds used to be.
Because you won’t be able to crossrealm or use fast tool it will also force people to work with what they got around them and not always go for the most stupid criteria you see in lfg. You will have advertisements in chats for groups and people will be more social since it will require a conversation to get invited.
At no point does this « fix » people but it basically ties everybody to everyone else, just like in real life. I’m not nice at work because I love my colleagues (I do get along well with some), but also because I have to find a way to peacefully coexist with others who allow me to pursue a common goal.
I have no idea how people like you wonder how removing crossrealm and lfg and lfd has no impact. Probably because you’re a female belf player. Bunch of toxic cringe balls.

It won’t, the so called community is far more toxic in the M+ side of things where you still have to enter the dungeon manually.
Now if he wanted servers without cross realm that would be a different matter. I don’t see how LFR or LFD are a problem, especially if everyone was on the same realm. It is the anonymity of cross realm that has brought the most poison to WOWs community.

Half of the people spamming for removal of LFR/DF would never visit these servers because with their behaviour they would never be invited into any guild and they would instantly run back to LFR …
Saying that LFR ruined wow is like saying lvl 20-29 BGs ruined pvp …

Nobody remembers?
Blizzard floated exactly this idea, as “Pristine Servers”, when they were looking for a way to give people something more of a community and classic experience without actually investing any work into it.
It didn’t get a lot of enthusiasm from either side, though of course the foums were full of people trying to push their own spin on the possible features of such servers, even though that was not what Blizzard was talking about, and even though these ideas would contradict the whole idea.
But then, of course, they committed to Classic, and that wiped the last drops of the idea away.

Nice idea! But in my opinion, they should keep LFD and LFR, but those should work only for the server’s population. They should remove sharding and CRZ and completely isolate the server from other servers.
But in my honest opinion, this kind of server would die pretty fast and all those remaining players are stuck in there unless they want to pay for a realm transfer
Or you could just not use them? if you wanna sit an hour in general or trade chat trying to find people no one is gonna stop you, and you certainly don’t need a server dedicated to it. If you wanna branch it out and find people manually for random HC then go do it through the dungeon finder, not much different from names whispering you from trade chat.
Same with lfr, it’s really not hurting anyone, and if you don’t want it, don’t play it, but you don’t need a separate server just to stop you from playing lfr?

Most of the community isn’t on forums or dont care to post here.
LFR and group finder is for quality of life. I am kinda enjoying both. I have born and brought up in pug. LFR or GF isn’t really reason to destroy PUG. It’s community and tools(misuse of gear score, Rio, recount etc.) made pug people toxic, intolerant and judgemental.

I don’t believe for one second that lfr/lfg has had any impact on player behaviour.
Addons have destroyed progression by enabling those with little talent and minimum effort to become high end raiders. Those with no skill can progress. If you don’t believe that, get one of mythic raider pals to remove all addons and see how they do … id be amazed if they could even down a normal mode boss without em.
The rude attitude of players is about the same as it always was, slightly worse maybe but that’s to be expected this generation of spoilt kids, cant do anything about that.
Forget your no lfg servers, theyd die in an instant. Maybe im wrong in that, who knows.
Give me an addon and /follow banned server, id move there in a millisecond … even pay for the service, something I have never done with blizzard before, and id be all friendly and chatty as there would be no botters or multitrash, no spammers to sell runs, no AH farmers, nothing. … all of the things that annoy the bedamned out of me and make me grumpy ingame. Bliss
