Don’t get me wrong but i get why court would not do something about it. Because there is a report function,there is a ticket function,there is an ignor button for exactly those cases.

I mean sure screw pedophiles and actuall predators and i hope they get banned or what ever but i definetly would say there is also a sort of responsebility on the other end of the computer. I remember my mother was very sceptical when i back when i was a child started playing Video games online but after a while she saw how happy i was while playing with my friends so she went more at eaze but i definetly remember having talked with her about cases like strangers aproaching me.

Just saying, if you cant confirm the age of the people you interact with and the game is full of minors you should actively avoid RPing relationships with. Then you should avoid RP’ing relationships as a rule. This is why being married in RL makes it ok ingame but otherwise no. People that are married dont RP holding hands or anything like that.

In an ideal world, yes, but that’s a very loaded question when you sit down and think about it. Typically, we live in a society where we do not place the burden of responsibility on children for actions that involve them or are carried out against them, which honestly, makes a lot of sense. I personally don’t believe in assigning blame to a party, the minor in this case, that isn’t really deemed capable by society to differentiate ideal and non-ideal behavior.

It depends on a lot of factors that I’d need to break down at length but the most typical ones are rearing, environment, personality, nature, tr- to be honest it’s really pointless to go over on a video game forum but the bottom line is that while there’s a responsibility on EVERY PARENT to make sure their kid is protected, there should also be a responsibility on EVERY ADULT to make sure they don’t Jade Witch people. “It’s okay, their parents didn’t teach them how to be safe so it’s not my fault”, etc, which I know is not what you’re trying to say, but it’s the way it can be perceived.

I wish I’d received more supervision online, but I don’t hold my parents accountable for that because we were only just beginning to enter the age of internet accessibility. There are always casualties of new advancements in technology and my undeveloped brain at the time is probably one of them. Regardless, getting back on topic…

There are actual predators on Argent Dawn. Proven ones. The responsibility for their actions lie entirely with them and their lack of responsibility towards the minors or vulnerable people in the community is also, mostly probably, entirely on them.

Don’t get me wrong i definetly don’t say that the entire fault would be with the parents. I just say that there are multiple factors at play that would make a case like this realy tedious and complicated to judge. If somebody does aproach a minor thow well knowing that they are a minor then of course they should be charged for it.

That post seems inappropriate. No one in my country considers marrying childern as appropriate. Its illegal because a minor cant consent, as I pointed out above. A minor cannot enter into a contract as pointed out above. As a 16 or 17 you cannot marry without parental consent.

Yeah, which is basically what I’m trying to say. There are definitively people on Argent Dawn, proven, who should be, imo, put before a judge and penalized, even if it just means having some of their shady behavior patterns brought to light. I doubt it would go overly far, but it would be a start.

If Blizzard just actively moderated the amount of NSFW that actually went on in-game, a lot of these issues wouldn’t be overly prevalent.

There are several countries where marrying a child (without parental consent) is legal as well. By your logic that should be fine, because it’s not illegal in that particular country?

Perhaps instead of going on such weird grounds about your own law dictating what you can or can’t do, you abide by the terms of service in WoW instead - which doesn’t prevent you from /kisses, /cuddles, /hugs (and i’m sure if holding hands was an emote, probably that as well, since it’s more innocuous than a cuddle/hug/kiss lol) with another account regardless of the player’s age.

Bringing sexual themes into your RP is forbidden though. Bringing LGBTQ+ topics are not sexual themes and are not forbidden, unless you want to put offensive behaviour such as homophobia under LGBTQ+ topics.

Insinuating that LGBTQ+ is tied to paedophilia is homophobic in of itself and your posts are highly inappropriate if not borderline offensive.

Counties I dont care about. Also the tone of that. Do you resent not being able to RP with a Child? What a god awful argument. If it was not illegal I still would nt do it.

If you are doing that in a game with minors and RP a relationship. Then I would have a big issue with that, if one party is a minor.

Gay people, I would say would agree with me. Dont RP relationships in a game with minors.
