I think the best takeaway from this is that no one owes your sensibilities anything and will continue to roleplay queer characters however they want, because it is incredibly lore supported and a Fine n Good thing to have in a character if the player chooses it. Your discomfort isn’t a discouragement.

While cool too (admittedly) it’s too platey?
Night elves are gorilla fighters, not knightly humans.
(should still add those to the game too, though, why do NPCs get all the cool armors?)
Honestly I’d like the skimpier ones first. The other one is over-decorated. Maybe without the feathers on the waist it could be better, but it’s just ornamental.
Plate armour can still be a thing for Night Elves! And it still has the elven feel to it. Pretty sure it’s the armour from the Tomb of Sargeras (or an emulation of it) boss fight?
