Some elf from dalaran probably used a polymorphic spell to alter his/her appearance and the goblin barber saw it and thought… hey i can ask money for this, weeks later the barber’s guild started offering the service for a good coin, which is the reason some vendors now suddenly look different because they could afford the costly service and thats how different skin colors came to stormwind.

Stop trying to use IRL reasons for racism and bigotry in a game where the only good thing the modern writers have done is say it doesn’t exist in the setting.
And big mad here, stop trying to use my northern heritage to justify racist views, the more we’ve looked into the norse folk/vikings the more of a diverse group of people we find (:

And thats the only valid reason i see to make it this way and not with the allied race thing. I would have figured warcraft wakanda to be a cool thing. Warcraft China as well. I saw unused potential there thats all and i don’t think i’m a bad person for doing so.
Not realy the sort of explenation that i would consider better but it would be an explenation. Frankly i think that would be quiet offensive thow for some people to be just a “trend” in wow.

But knights in WoW are little more than mounted footmen, they aren’t a title of lower nobility. The Light isn’t humanity, it’s a religion - one not followed in Kul Tiras and to a lesser degree Dalaran. A cathedral is architecture, it tells us nothing of Stormwind’s society beyond the mere fact they are pious; their society is not inspired by the middle-ages in any way.
Yes, they are. For humans, however, you have taken the Light and Cathedrals and gone “it’s medieval!” yet by doing so you refuse to look at Kul Tiras, at Dalaran, at Gilneas. At literally anything but a mere glance at the human kingdoms in favour of painting them with a broad bush.
How would it be a cool thing? This is World of Warcraft, not Humans of Humancraft.

Picking at the minutiae of this stuff is how you get turkish turanists insisting orcs are turks and then 40 pages of heated debate follows over whether attila would’ve/should’ve won at the great Civ game of the 4th century.

Look, here’s the thing: more options for the players is good, and the lore is the one we have, like it or not. What advantage do we gain from speaking about it in every thread?
Don’t remind me of all the humans coming from Uldum who roleplay an extremely stereotypical version of muslims and a VERY racist view of the arabian culture.

All i sayed is that blizzard could have introduced the things better. I never sayed that the things introduced where bad or should not be there or anything like that.
You are currently all just proving what i sayed. You don’t read the actuall things i say you just read “Ouh he doesnt 100% agree with us! Phobic! Racist! Get him out!”

Okay so. Dalefug wants to remove all OTHER races from Warcraft, and replace them with humans. I get his argument now.

I’m sure it’s roleplayed for the deep lore and the cool stuff you could have like a trader. And not because of an excuse to have a haram of female characters around you.
