I have recently levelled a SP. I have farmed some of both sets.
Currently I wear the Dreadmist pieces. However when looking at the updated 0.5 pieces, the Deathmist stuff has 0 spirit. In contrast, the Virtuous has mp5 and a fair mix of spirit, int and stam. Deathmist being a warlock set has a lot of stam and intellect.
I want to use the sets for both PvE and PvP, but if I had to choose jist one, if would be PvP.
Which set is better to upgrade to 0.5 for this purpose?
I was under the impression that the Tier 0.5 quest chain giver, will only give you the quests for your class. I.e. Upgrading the devout set.
T0.5 is quest rewarded, and its class restricted so you can only get Virtuous set. Actually uk what at the same time you can just pvp and get r10 its just better than all those, and if u got spare time yea you can go rank 13-14, and trust me this set is even better than the t2.5 set. So r14= decked out as SP, all you want is some offset pieces here and there easily obtained from zg/aq20, but hey ofc you can go for 40 man raids and get even better, while you got main slots filled with r14 gear.
PvP sets are better than those, they were used to a thing but blizzard decided to kill them with making honor grind so simple. You can just stand afk in BGs to get overpowered gear without dealing with RNG or other things. Best solution is to get R10 as someone above me said, and grind for R13.
It takes some weeks to get PvP set thoughz I will get this bur need something to do mean time 
Have you seen the questline of t0.5? getting r10 seems faster…
I have got the gloves/belt/bracers of 0.5 upgraded already I just need the Shoulders which now I know that it’s devout I need…yikes. getting a group to do father flame is a challenge
