I’m rerolling a SP and just reached the Shadow Weaving talent. While I can read it is supposed to stack up to 5 times, I realised it seems to stack sometimes and otherwise it only resets the duration and keep the same amount of stack… Not sure why?
Are you using an old version of ClassicAuraDurations or some similar addon??
I use Classic Aura Duration indeed (but with Twitch so it’s supposed to be up to date), can it conflict?
Apparently there’s an issue with Shadow Weaving. The combat log doesn’t report refreshes once it’s reached 5 stacks, this is true for Deadly Poison and other abilities too. This breaks timers.
Since shadow weaving is guaranteed for your shadow spells… it should be possible to do some kind of workaround but it’s possible that the addon just has some issues.

When your shadow spell lands the shadow weaving debuff can be resisted.
Yeah, but it is guaranteed to trigger and the addon is most likely just checking if your shadow spells hit. It wouldn’t be perfect but it’s somewhat functional. Apparently this combat log issue is from Cata and Blizz hasn’t fixed it yet.
Except it isn’t because it can be resisted which then either doesn’t apply the stack or resets the duration, so…
The addon is likely looking for shadow weaving resists, I could ask the dev
