I personally don’t -mind- leaks but… y’know. Companies try to keep things hidden and people ruin it for them.
Companies should know these things… and they probably do, and lets people leak stuff for hype.

One thing is a certainty: people will blame Blizzard for the leak, even if it was someone else who took the photo and spread it online. One thing I’ve learned while in retail is that the public never takes accountability. It is always the company at fault. This logic is flawed, a desperate one that simply boils down to “the customer is always right.”
Blizzard didn’t take the picture, the guy did. If they did it out of spite as Vaxir states (would like to see evidence of that motivation before fully confirming) then it would make them the bad guy in this case, but people will always find a way to turn it around and excuse them for it, hailing them as a hero or similar.
Or Blizzard hopefully just shrugs their shoulders and doesn’t care. A character’s appearance is not as big a leak as a major plot or storyline, so people can’t be too angry about it.

Leaks happen in every industry. Information is power after all, and having information that is restricted, it’s very tempting to flaunt that privilege.
To be honest though I have no idea why this leak is a big deal. Blizzard said the jailer isn’t anyone we’ve met before, the concept art for him reveals that to be true and doesn’t show us anything of any real merit.
Spoiling an expansion before release? That’s a big deal.

The other thing worth noting about video game leaks in particular is that more often than not their legitimacy is quite difficult to prove. You’ve no real way of knowing for sure if what you’re looking at, unless it’s direct game play or something similar is an actual leak or creative fake.
Leak sources are notoriously difficult to trace because it can cost jobs if not worse.

Yeah, The Jailer is coming across more like Hades more comes out. He looks very Greek God like.
See the Arbiter as Zeus and The Jailer as Hades and it sort of makes some sort of sense.
Arbiter losing power due to Jailer harvesting souls. Jailer wants to be what the Arbiter is, the ultimate power of the Shadowlands.
They’re probably related in someway.
Hades never let souls leave his realm - Like the Maw.
The aesthetic already has that Greek inspiration in some areas.
Buy they already done this with Odyn and Helya. I hope in something different.

Yes, Helya is related to Death, but she wasn’t stealing souls to overpower Odyn. She was doing what she could to just mess with him. Making him unable to leave the Halls of Valor etc. Just causing him grief. Odyn’s Valkyr’s were still bringing people to the HoV who were worthy.
The Jailer is siphoning souls directly into the Maw causing the power in an entire realm to drain due to the Arbiter lacking any control over what is going on. And the Jailer has a strong chance of winning, which is why I believe we’ll see early on the Arbiter dying. I could see them lining someone else to take over as the Arbiter at the end of the expansion.
I wonder how death works for all in the Shadowlands. Do they reincarnate like the Legion does? Is this where the Legion got its power from? We learned that the Natherzim had visited the realm as they stole the Helm of Domination and Frostmourne.

have Garithos come in, and steal kill sylvanas, that or all of the characters shes wronged come out and cling to her dragging her into super hell, kind of like how Hades went in the disney Hercules movie.
