Can we get 1 expansion where engineering isn’t completely useless…? its been useless for YEARS, but to think that we need revered reputation with Ve’nari , to craft a 168… like… im already 174equipped, and 178 bag, and ill needd like a month to get the rep, to get a 168? who does the math in blizzard… all the belt gadgets are useless as always, most of the items req engi lvl 1 so there is literally no reason to even attempt to lvl it up, what exactly is the point of engineering in shadowlands ?, scribers have done milions in the first patch, BS/tailor/leatherwork will craft legendaries, and inspription has a 200IL trinket somehow, alchemy is doing the usual, even tho its odd that everyone is capped in the profession already, but my god, even cooking seems to be better than engineering§
True - shame engineering has been so poor for so long.
Really don’t understand why Blizzard can’t make crafting good. As you say, inscription = 200ilvl trinkets. Engineering = 151ilvl BOP helms… what a joke.
i wish this got the attention it deserved, its one of my only complains on shadowlands. like, it doesn’t make sense how professions are right now. that and warmode are my 2 main issues
We got a very useful wormhole and an additional 1 minute CC in our toolkit, plus all the old Qol-things. If you expected more, you chose the wrong profession.
I’m sure the headpiece will be replaced by a more useful one when the xpack progresses.
They trying to do “cool things”, but its useless mostly. This profession disabled in ranked, can’t milk gold as others, the most usefull thing from the old expansions. Its just AH and free teleport to nowhere with few hrs cooldown. The most useless profession in this game ever made. In SL its just even expensive to cr8 useless things.
P.S. ANd i have little suggestion here. U decided to do in 2-nd expansion in a row eng resurrection, but add another 2 usefull every expansion like goblin glider and nitro boost. This is the best thing and should by default every new expansion like falsk and pots in alchemy. So if player chose this profession he don’t need to search and do from 0 uslefull thing from WOTLK and MOP.
Very true. Engi is completely useless, Blizzard, you really dropped the ball here. You need to improve it immediately, goggles should be level 200 like inscription trinket, same with alchemy trinket - wtf, who would use it, it’s garbage at this level and costs fortune.
Tbh the wormhole alone is good enough for me, 15m cd and ability to chose which zone to go is incredible for saving time. I still use nitro boosts and glider cloak especially in maw. And while as a tank i can’t use battle-res thingy much. It’s still nice to have.
I don’t see how it can have any other use, engineering was always fun gimmicky stuff anyway. Although i wish we could get some trinkets again. Shame to see them go and be replaced by silly 1-time use “devices”.
My guess would be someone at blizzard got owned in vanilla-tbc by engineering,so they got super mad.
I actually wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case.
Game already balances around what investors and main guys at blizzard are playing,because some of the changes make no sense at all and those changes works against players who asked for different things that make sense more than what blizzard came up with since TBC.
