Shaman tanking guide - classic wow

Shamans are very good tanks in dungeons put on sheild with shield spikes from blacksmith + dragons breathe chili + goblin sapper charges

pull with chain lighting + nature swiftness chain lightening again followed by aoe fire totem keep using right totems at right times right situations yes they can hold aggro sometimes even betetr then warriors can as long you keep your int threat higher then everyone else

I normally do 31 restor cause i like being a bro to the healers other caster dps in group with about 20 + enchantment or elemental depending on what i need to do

there isnt really any set in stone talents either of these all be helpful in different situations but stay away from Ancestestral knowledge cause its bad

ok lets talk about earth bind weapon, + lightening sheild and earth shock. first in classic be careful of nature immune foes you have use different tactic fighting those keep threat

look be honest you cant raid tank but you can dungeon tank if see shaman offering tank dungeons cant go wrong . unless they dont know what there doing

lot factors consitering shamans tanking do ahve enough str scaling for block do gave enough agility for the dodges needed crit immunity is never gonna happen for this type of tank

this why good for them have druid in there group that can buff all stats . keeping world buffs on before do dungeons

two different tanking specs are needed for this so when duel spec in anni you need one for basic shaman tanking full defense then need one handles nature immunity watch you run into

watch is an elemental/restro spec

you alt target through mobs you pull make sure hit them once. melee attack and shock another then cycle hit the other while keeping aoe totem up and lightening sheild active if your affraid losing threat have high dps mages in your group use earth bind totem slow them down even more

what is threat basically in classic its damage point by point reason why shamans have no issue with threat cause bursty boys do insanes about instant damage

do so running oom then switch melee combat keep that threat spreading the pain spirit/stamina spirit can be really good keeping mp up when your in melee mod. stamina more hp mix between then too

intelligence gives you more mana but also makes your spells cost more mp somtimes having more spirit then inteligence is mroe benefit in solo and dungeons cause your constantly in state of mp5
