Shaman's Purge

This morning I was fighting furbolgs in Ashenvale, and I was ganked by a runt dwarf paladin. But I was not taken aback, I finished off the furbolg, kited and purged the paladin, shocking him like a little girl. He squealed like a Durotar boar and used his small dwarven bubble. Out of disgust, I wanted to spit in his face, but for some reason I spat on the ground (thanks Blizzard), and eventually finished him off. After it he walked around me on the other side of river. For the horde!

I love lvl 25 shamans with lava burst crit right now, then shocks and spamming purge on helpless paladins…mmm delicious.

Havent Had this much power in classic pvp ever. Can solo just about any class.

But the new level cap will change it so hold your holy horses you whiny slaves of Light.

Except slow totems can be one shot and have a cooldown. If a paladin can’t work that out, they deserve to lose. That’s what they would call a skill issue.

I have a level 25 horde and alliance. That’s among the reasons I know who wins, actual experience as opposed to bizzare and fantastical hypotheticals, which are easily disproven with basic logic and reasoning skills, as it turns out

that old excuse… the time the paladins waste on the 9 totems’s line they are dead by lightning, purges

and shamans could even just sit in line and “one shot” each paladins with instant horions

They are not going to change core classic abilities. I thought that was obvious from the start? They are going to alter the gameplay through the runes and that’s it. Speaking of, a purge rune which would remove ALL magic on target at the cost of xx sec cooldown for example could be interesting. Anyway, I’m still being oneshot inside 1 HoJ sooo… obligatory nerf paladins pl0x

Says the person playing probably the most op class right now.

it is expected that the edgier player nickname is the more  they in the game, for example, just yesterday we had paladin Alpha crying that rogue won’t let him cross the bridge in Redridge Mountain @ Living Flame

but this guy speaks for an entire Alliance
imagine that, instead of reapplying seal after every purge you have an opportunity to enjoy 2x new abilities as strong as 40lvl talents: crusader strike and divine storm, and you have an option to take instant exorcism or interrupt, and there is a bright future of cleansing flame shock and combos with repentance/stun and you are still arrogant whiny :sob: spoiled wotlk paladin and trying to hide your mistakes behind an entire faction

I am incredibly disappointed with your arguments fellas.

It has been historically and almost canonically known that Shamans are tilting the PvP balance towards Horde favor in Classic WoW.

The sheer idea in your heads that you can argue against that, is just astonishing.

I get that you don’t want power taken away from, I perfectly understand this and I vouch for that not happening to you ever! But an even field is required for this game to be a better one.

If you truly think in this confined way that Shamans are comparable to Paladins simply because of the faction difference then you’re not thinking broadly enough.

But since you want to do it, I will attempt to explain this although the dents will probably restrict you from understanding it:

  • Shamans remove almost all utility based benefits from Alliance players through Purge. This makes 2 classes capable of doing that for the Horde, and one for the Alliance, Priests.

  • And a silly little bubble does not tilt the balance as much as you’d like to think especially when these bubbles rob the ability of the paladin to be effective in melee combat.

  • Elemental Shaman in PvP is widely regarded as the best PvP specialization in WoW Classic. Restoration Shaman is also considered an incredibly strong choice while Enhancement is widely regarded as a meme there are specializations which enable it to work like the instant heal one.

  • All Paladin specializations are bad and only Holy excels at being useful because every 5 minutes we can bubble and heal like mad.

  • Retribution is a brutal joke even with the new changes.

  • Reckoning is literally the only way to play offensively and you depend on the enemy to make it work.

What would happen if Purge would be put on cooldown? Balance, that’s what.

shamans have OFFENSIVE dispell, we get it
and paladins have DEFENSIVE dispell, paladins of every spec have cleanse and able to dispell magic cc and to counter stuff like lava burst and shatter combos

You are once more, disappointing.

Good luck Cleansing overloaded and low-priority effects amidst combat instead of healing while the shaman’s top ability is Purge because of the buff removal.

It looks like you’re incredibly incompetent and even biased for this discussion. If you’ve played at least once or twice in a competitive premade you’d know that the first thing to do is purge, while on the alliance it’s to heal with the one paladin to freedom if the warriors have no already faped to try and force the horde into defensive because that’s the only chance to win, a chance.

You know he has good points when he has to insult people’s competency.

Calling people incompetent is not an insult, especially when it’s provided with an argument tied to it.

And yes, their reply was incompetent simply because that’s not how things tend to play out, ever.
Season of Mastery Alliance win ratio - under 5%.

Please cite the source, thank you, I think you are incompetent too btw, since its not an insult, you should be happy to hear it, right?

" Your realm is perfectly factioned balanced. If no one is showing up, your faction needs to organize, simply put.

On my realm horde wins most of the time, They organize better. There’s no game imbalance, there is organizational imbalance and that’s not for us to step in and fix."

No, can’t be happy to hear it but I for one am capable of being objective, not subjective.

The source is me, from 0 Neutral to Exalted 999, under 5% win ratio which I have recorded for me as a Paladin without premading on that characater.

  • Most notably was the amounts of Shamans on alliance. Felt like every BG had 3 of them or more. I am sure everyone is playing Shaman because they are definitely not a good class, especially Orcs - bad palyers’ choice award.

Wait until this guy hears about class diversity on alliance.

You’re just fishing for ally types of arguments and it’s obvious, stay defeated.

I just repeated what you said about shamans tbh.
Who’s fishing ?

Don’t pretend Paladin isn’t the second most played class in SoD.

Second most played is one hell of a shot yourself in the knee sentence.

But that aside, I’m seeing less and less paladins in PvP with every day compared to at start. We failed to scale, meanwhile Shamans are healthy, which I’m happy for.

did you ever played alliance?
everybody laugh at paladins since 20years, even paladins themself
who laugh at shamans?

#Please Blizz add dwarf shaman in alliance and undead paladin in the horde in SoD

alliance get some wolves and horde get some labradors
