Am I the only one not being able to skin Sheep and Cows?

Seriously, that used to work not long time ago in Era at least. Haven’t tested SOM lately.
Edit:
Just skinned a Sheep, a Deer and a Rabbit in Elwynn Forest (sorry, no cows in vicinity). Worked as it should.

Don’t you sometimes get wool cloth from skinning sheep?
Can you skin other stuff?

She was in Elwynn as well, so not ally only, maybe me 
I can skin wolves I kill and loot, but not cows or sheep.
The more important question though is why cant I skin Tauren…
