If you want to get to Blackrock mountain to do an instance or raid Molten Core.
When you die, convert your group to raid(If you’re doing a dungeon). Then you spirit-run all the way to Molten Core entrance & jump through the window.
This should revive you & you’ll be able to leave Molten Core and go from there.
Bonus if you’re going to MC anyway.
This way you can avoid being ganked all the way through Searing Gorge or Burning Steppes!
Thought you can’t enter an instance when dead if you didnt die in there. If this is a case, seems like bug and abusing it not something you should be doing.
Saw a post here about it a few weeks ago and I had the same experience farming maraudon where I could reset again after having just zoned into the dungeon and gone out again without killing anything.
The game seems to create the instance ID as soon as you enter, I could be wrong though, but do at your own risk.
The instance ID is created as soon as you enter, but saved raid IDs works differently. You only get locked to a raid ID when you’ve killed the first boss. (UBRS is exempt from this and counts as a regular instance ID.)
You only get saved by entering a raid ID where the leader of the group is already saved to one.
If the leader’s ID is fresh, then you won’t get locked to a raid ID.
Just tried it tonight when running to MC, ran into a group of like, 8 alliance on purpose just to get killed in searing gorge. I then ran as a spirit to MC, talked to the NPC to teleport inside, however an error message appeared and said “Your corpse is not inside this instance.”.
I then tried to jump out of the window, and same thing there. Got the same error message.
So this OP must be a troll or just never tried it on his own.
I tried this after our guild raid had killed onyxia, to then do what was left of MC (with the same people and same leader so the same ID and everything, so the error message had nothing to do with that). So I did it while the raid was gathering up to go to MC, because there was the usual alliance vs. horde wpvp there. We never dissolved the raid after onyxia since MC was scheduled for right after that, so I was still in the raid group while testing this.
Actually it doesn’t have to be the leader.
If the first person that enters has a saved ID, the rest who will enter will get that saved ID.
I know this because I ruined a group this way the second time I entered Ony’s lair.
