Low pop server is almost the “FULL” server back in vanilla.
There are no dead servers, and there wont be any dead servers for a long time.

There are no low pop servers now, any new server will start low then hours later its medium to the least.
And then those servers will have a queue, and they launch another server and urge people to join that, then that server gets a queue, they launch another server…and so on and so forth.
It’s a neverending cycle that will only end when the queues end because at least one server dies
Yes, absolutely. They aren’t going to be low pop for long and people who insist on sitting in 10k queues are going to realise that too late. They might be queuing forever.
If you’re itching to play, I’d say go play on a newly released realm for a week or two and then decide if you feel like rerolling on one of the original servers once the queues have died down.
Also, keep in mind that the queues might come back with the first content update/removal of layering.
I made a char on razorgore (eu) , low pop server last evening. Its FULL and im in 9k queue as I write this. Problem is that I already found a guild and my stumpy dwarf paladin grew close to my heart. I would feel REALLY bad if I had to leave him behind. They just had to promise free transfer for characters and my whole guild could level and play without worry.
