Should I give "The War Within" a try?

Hey, thanks for clicking on the post

I was thinking about maybe trying out “the war within”, but I am unsure if it’s worth it for me and I thought you could fill me in about what the endgame of the expansion is like.

I’m quite a casual player and started playing in BfA, which is actually an expansion I loved, even though I’ve heard that a lot of people hated it. I mostly play for enjoying the atmosphere, music, world design and character vertical progression.

That’s why I personally liked stuff like Azerite Power too, because it gave me a reason to log on every day, do some minor tasks while having a documentary or something on my second monitor, which made my character stronger and stronger, even though I’ve already reached the max level.

When I played Dragonflight it left me unsatisfied because they moved away from borrowed power.
I kinda got to max level, got the best gear I could get without doing Mything+ and raiding (because I dislike them, I am not a hardcore player and this stuff tends to overwhelm me. Maybe I’ll check them out again when the one button rotation is in the game so that I don’t have this huge wall of abilities at the bottom of my screen anymore).

So once I got to that point in Dragonflight I thought to myself… “What now?” , and stopped playing.

Would you say it has decent endgame stuff for my interests?

at this point of the season i would say no
maybe wait till the next big patch?

personally i think TWW is a good expac, but there is far less things to do than DF

You’d might enjoy delves, or, rather, the gear which is better than open world/LFR. You may not feel as powerful as you did in BFA, but you’ll definitely feel more powerful than you did in DF.
Whether or not that’s enough to try TWW is entirely up to you

I feel the opposite way. After emerald dream farming there was nada

why wouldn’t he want to now? mid season is the best moment to try wow expacs - you get loot easier - others can carry you to “victory” - easier to win rolls on loot…

I am similar to you in that I have stopped playing WOW. I occasionally logon and play some Classic but other than that I have hardly touched WOW for months and for Retail it must be years (BfA the last one I really played properly). I am very much liking what I am seeing with Player Housing coming in Midnight, but am torn between waiting until then or whether I should just get right back in now.

Sure give it a try.
For me personally has nothing new or exciting but for you might be fun.

No. It’s the worst expansion and there is nothing to do

The problem is not about having nothing to do but having nothing to waste your time which in fun way.
Wrath had less things than now but they were much better.
Same with tbc.

It’s hard to judge if you’d enjoy it or not. You know you’d get the wow staple of levelling and stories through the zones, the main story. If none of the end game activities appeal to you and you aren’t into any of the other interests like collecting or levelling alts then you might run out of things to do.

This is everything that has been and is yet to come in TWW.

Only you can judge if you’re better off leaving it until later in the year and then doing all the story content in one go. If that would be better for you.

This is 11.1.5

This is what is comign in 11.2.7

Player housing is most likely to land in prepatch for Midnight.

I would wait for sale/discount at this stage, or for next expansion

But on another hand, this is a Saga right now with 3 expansions, so you might wanna come just for the story/campaign

If your in to story and quests get in to it.Its a start of saga.

It’s a great time to jump into the game since there’s a lot of catch up mechanisms in place and it will not take you terribly long to gear up a character for the upcoming season.
