It’s no different to sending a whisper in game. All subject to moderation.
Although as you can see there is more reason not to bother with a feature like this, it’s not worth the extra work.

Where is that complicated? We discussed the legal matter of whether DMs are allowed to be monitored on top of that and that’s something Blizzard would have to consider as well when adding such a feature whether they want to or not.
Like mate, this is basic level stuff. You discuss such stuff in high school.

I’m not complicating anything. If you think Blizzard will give people carte blanche to abuse each other on discourse messaging then you are very much mistaken. The same rules will apply as in game and on the forums.
It’s not difficult. It’s not complicated. It’s common sense.
There are currently various means you can communicate with other players, the most popular system is currently discord.
When it isn’t me for a change. its kind of entertaining
