Looking in the comments, I see there are a lot of new players that don’t remember this group. That’s sad, it gives them credibility.

I had always thought the Scarlets are cool from a lore perspective, they just seem simply impossible to pull off on an IC basis, unless you roamed around SM and parts of the plaguelands, but with Legion they are practically destroyed.

Though I saw a GM chat on the subject hinting it is not known if they completely destroyed down to the last man, they appear impossible to RP as. Perhaps as routed Scarlet crusader, fleeing from The Ebon’s, but past that? Hmph. If it was cata, it might have some limited legs in it., but without something substantiate from blizzard they are all but destroyed.

The Scarlet Crusade suffered badly at the hands of the Knights of the Ebon Blade, in their quest to resurrect Sally Whitemane. While they did declare that they would not leave until every last crusader had been killed and every banner burned, it’s not clear at this moment how far they succeeded. There have been a few sightings of Scarlet Crusade members around the world, but it’s not clear if these are the last remnants of a dying faction or the seeds of a revival. Only time will tell!

It happens all the time every expansion, people say the Scarlets are dead - then they come back next expansion, example Legion - MOP (the infamous Lillian Voss list theory). It’s silly that people try and overrule headcanon with uncertified lore, because it’s speculation not canon.

Edit: Lilian Voss had the codex to the Scarlet Crusade and said she was going to kill every single member in MOP. Thaussarian had some weird tantrum at the end of attack the monestary and said he’d kill every member. It’s pretty clear that one person is not able to destroy an entire militarised organisation.

Right now, area where they would be located is contested between Alliance and Horde, which probably means they aren´t really sending armies after remnants of Crusade.

Besides, you could say the same thing in MoP. “It´s not just Lillian Voss, it´s the entirety of Azeroth killing them.”
Surprise surprise, they were still alive in Legion when basically the same thing happened, except with DKs instead of adventurers and Thassarian instead of Lillian.

I will give you guys the benefit of the doubt, but knowing from experience how many of you act (used to rp with quite alot of you, I were even the Champion of the Sigil for some time).
If you act as Scarlets, same zealotry, same thinking, inquisition, burning of people and die-hard fanatics, then I will act like you are Scarlets, which will result in hostile actions.
If you are truely repenting, making distance between you and what the Scarlet Crusade became, with the burning of innocent and looking everyone out, as in, if you are able to tolerate other species aswell, then I will only doubt you ic.
Good luck in the future, expect people to doubt you and in many cases, be hostile towards you.
