I think all major cities need an update. If they updated them and then added things that made them relevant then people aould actually go to them! Events, Vendors, etc.
Silvermoon definitely needs it!
Current Orgrimmar is like the old Helfire Citadel in Outland - that thing was not really a citadel in the open world but just a wall with dungeon portals on it.
I don’t really agree with this. I think that Quel’thalas in lore should be visitable by High elves on pilgrimage to their homeland as long they’re not running Alliance errands. Which I think we kinda already have seen.
In the Quel’delar questline there are High elf pilgrims and during the Nightborne recruitment where Lort’themar is cool with Alleria saying that he can’t deny a child of Quel’thalas until she reveals she’s there on behalf of the Alliance.
Also, no void elves though due to their whole void infused thing being a threat to the Sunwell.
Yes, but not with a “Nightborne section.” Perhaps a study area within the ruins of Silvermoon, decorated in Nightborne attire, but not a whole area, where the Nightborne have been exiled to, because somehow, Night Elves had the numbers to better the Nightborne, HMT and Blood Elves and they all lost Suramar.
Yeah, there is no reason for there to be a Nightborne district. I’d rather have them just update Silvermoon into something like Suramar made in the Blood elf aesthetic. With a portal orb between Suramar and Silvermoon to show their friendship, not unlike what Undercity and Silvermoon had.
Was that proven?
I mean sure the Well reacted to Aleria who ate a Dark Naaru and the Well was reiginited by a once Dark Naaru spark, so there is a connection… and the Void used Aleria as a conduit
But she is an unque speciment and case
The well not really reacted to shadow priest… as far we know and they are in the deeper end of the Shadow/Void/Old God pool
Just musing, nothing more actually… what you say is - sadly - logical
I mean Suramar does not have phased Horde-friendly version, that is not to say they couldn’t have, it is not really hard thing to do for Blizz it seems.
And I mean since Echo Isles can be connected by ship to Zuldazar, yeah sure why not.
I don’t think a regular shadow priest would be able to harm the sunwell unintentionally. But we don’t know about regular void elves, they’ve not just mastered the void but are also infused with it into their very being.
We saw what happened to Alleria, while not having undergone the same ritual she was still filled with void into her very essence.
It’s very much in the spirit of elves to exile potential problems.
Also remember that Umbric and his followers kept studying the void and teachings of the worst traitor in thalassian history, when knowing that it was not allowed and could potentially be something that would compromise the Sunwell.
It does not give a lot of trust from the blood elf side.
Better safe than sorry, from the blood elf point of view.
How both High Elves and Nightborne came to be after the Sundering and fall of the Highborne empire is VERY similar.
They both found a well of latent arcane power, they both lost it, they both rely on siphoning some form of magic lest they turn Wretched from withdrawal and they both have been struggling with that ever since (at least up until the Sunwell was purified and the Nightborne grew an arcan’dor).
The only difference between the two outside of aesthetics is that we witnessed that happen with the Nightborne in Legion, whereas it began for the now Blood Elves in Warcraft 3 and within the time skip between then and TBC.
Suramar City is still generally a hostile zone (not to mention also very open to Alliance Ganking alongside Thundertotem) so why not bring in some place for the Nightbourne to actually call home and be safe?
Not just a district yet also not taking over the entire city. Have them help Silvermoon improve. I would actually have a district, but it would be a portal to a phased version of Suramar where Horde players could be safe. Movkng out of the city would phase you back to normal Legion Suramar.
Well it’s still content that alliance and horde players will need to access. Blizzard won’t remove old content for the sake of lore developments.
The only thing they can do is expand the Nighthold phased area and perhaps open up the location where the Botanist guy was and maybe the lower levels where the first three bosses of Nighthold were.
