Yeah, I mean… so if Anduin took a wrong turn in Silvermoon, he’d just wind up dead?
Well, thanks for nothing, Thrall.

It’s the snobby attitude, man.
This is what happens when you losen faction restrictions and then try to go back to the old ways. We have alliance players upset that they can’t enjoy the new fancy red city.
Blizzard, for the love of everything that is holy, give the Alliance a separate quest hub or open Silvermoon. This is exhausting. Can’t have a whole faction complaining the whole expansion.
They do compare. Right now the canon is that belameth is the capital of night elves those who lived on streets of stormwind and suffered the loss of teldrasil. Idc if it is smaller its not the size but % of the place you can visit and the whole island around the tee till the dock belongs to the night elves who protected the seed for the tree.
I play on rp server i see things in different way and love to explore every small detail and easter egg. For me is huge nonsense to see horde having free walk through out of night elf capital (gilneas included)
And if so with your logic. Lets be fair then what horde faction cities do compare to gilneas and belameth lets hear that part then.
Force people to play other faction just for the sake of exploration of a major xpac update is bias.
It SHOULD be. That was my point.
There’s so many unfair things going on here.
Gilneas should be a fully functional major alliance capital.
The Draenei should also be getting fully updated zones and a new updated capital.
Oh, getting a Bel’Ameth type debuff throughout Midnight’s lifespan would be good enough for me. ![]()
Yeah, with all due respect, I have a feeling Belameth is just used as an excuse here.
If Belameth became hostile to Horde today people would still want to roam around Silvermoon just because it’s new and looks cool.
If you came with your army to help, I’d still defend myself if you decided to enter my home fully geared with your weapons.
The issue is: It just doesn’t make any narrative sense.
“Thanks for helping us save our sunwell and the world… Oh by the way, if you go down that street there… Yeah, we kill you.”
That’s just stupid.
I’m asking for TEMPORARY ACCESS. For as long as that storyline is going.
Afterwards; make stuff off limits except for the hub.
Make it make sense, is what I’m asking.
We’re not ‘an army’. We are the heroes of Azeroth.
I’m not asking for Stormwind troops and such to march through Silvermoon.
Best way to explore Silvermoon city for alliance is to just force themselves inside and fight the guards and players. Hopefully this is the intended way for alliance to experience it.
No.
Silvermoon is a Horde City. It is now and will be after Midnight, so keeping that dynamic has to be maintained. It’d be rather awkward to strip full access away once the expansion is over - is it not better to have evergreen access to the smaller hub?
From a narative PoV, also remember that the Horde and Alliance are still rivals. They work together during a crisis, but that doesn’t mean that they are eternal Allies. The Alliance’s help has been accepted out of necessity. You’ve been given access begrudingly to a small portion of the city.
There’s also the fact that the Horde have learnt from the mistakes Alliance have made. Don’t trust full access to the opposite Faction who have a penchant for invading your cities and who might like to burn down a third!
I’ll say that that will probably (hopefully) be pretty fun! Especially if they revamp the guards a bit. Not too strong but enough of a challenge for maybe even an Alliance-only achievement!
I’d also hope that you’ll at least get a warning if you stray from the hub as Alliance. Not just immediately getting riddled with arrows if you take a step over the line!
The whole of Alliance is under attack as well. Stormwind has a giant void vortex above its head. The Alliance didn’t come out of benevolence, they came to save their skin too. This has been said so many times.
I personally support that but understand why the other horde players don’t.
See, the community has become super entitled these days, no offense to you or anyone in particular. We see new stuff, we want new stuff.
Using the lore to justify wanting to be a part of a horde capital is a bit lame. First of all it’s subjective, the Horde does not trust the Alliance and saving the world together doesn’t mean we are best friends.
You might think we should be, but that is strictly your opinion and not necessarily cannon lorewise.
As far as Alliance having access to Silvermoon, if you want the death knight treatment, I’m ok with that. There should be the feeling of tension in the city when the enemy walks around.
You’d have evergreen access after Midnight is over.
But at least the story would make sense.
We are heroes.
Begrudingly huh?
SHE WAS FRICKIN PRAYING FOR HELP.
The army of the light -MOSTLY DRAENEI!!! Alliance members- answered the call.
Blizzard… MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
Give us temporary full access. Make it part of the story.
Don’t do things to pacify a handful of greedy horde players at the expense of literally every alliance player.
Well, I personally wouldn’t help if I was treated that way.
Let the world end. I don’t care.
I don’t care about those ‘other horde players’, frankly.
I care about getting equal treatment. I care about Blizzard - who should be impartial in that regard and give us equal treatment - doing their damned job. ![]()
Pretty sure that the only greedy people here are people such as you. Time to mute this thread, pretty tired of the constant whining.
Yeah because horde players haven’t been whining for years and years. ![]()
Boohoo we’re always made the bad guys, weeeeeeeeeeeeeehhh.
It is a good thing that we cannot enter homes then in major cities in general.
We have access to shops, banks etc.
Also if weapon carry is the issue, this can be arranged by leaving the weapons and armor at the gates.
Well this ain’t GTA so that’s the next best thing. Streets, npcs etc.
The story is about a cosmic battle.
The protagonists are not the elves, the draenei or some NPC. This is a story about light vs void. That is why the army of light is here.
When Liadrin called on the light, the light came with its own army because the light is fighting off the void. The army of light, with its space goats are just the light’s weapon against the void. I hope you get my point.
This game has never been about fair treatment. If you want fair treatment you are playing the wrong game.
In WoW someone always get screwed.
And my main is Alliance btw.
