I realized some people are so extreme that arguments are pointless. The fact is Blizzard gave each side two elf races and there is no reason they gonna leave anytime soon.

you need to justify by 5+5 or 7+3 = 10
We, the other side, have plenty of argument, fact that blood elves shouldnt be in the horde.

They were not in the horde and there was no reason to go in the horde

The actual lore guy inderstands that the story of Quel’thalas changed in TFT and see opportunity. It is not the blood elf fans fault that you are stuck in the Warcraft 2 alieration of the old alliance and unwilling to change. Also a good chunk of those topic are filled with people telling you “no” because Blizzard never supported that. Dalaran and Theramore are gone so you lose your last hub to play in. You might be a vocal minority but that never meant the rest of the fandom ever supported you. You want pretty blond people. I know of another group that wanted that and in history they are now viewed as evil

You tried to build your nation on land that belonged to someone else. History paint the europeans ad bad guys to this day for doing this to America mind you. There is the reasons the US government made some comrpomise with the native americans to basically grant them ethnostates on their territory so they can at least pretend to have learnt from the past. Your high elves still believe they are poor refugees. Which is bollocks. Tresspassers are not the victims.

I would advice you to play the surumar campaign, the lore you say that makes no sense is very clearly portrayed there and it shows you from A to Z why they chose the Horde
The hints start with the difference in horde and alliance speech bubbles for Tyrande and Liadrin respectively, where Tyrande seems to favour making the nightbourne civilians bleed for their own city before she commits her soldiers where-as Liadrin recognizes they are civilians and tells you the player character that they’re non combatants who should be protected
I know people say ‘it makes no sense because tyrande was born there’ like the city hadn’t sealed itself off for 10.000 years and developed a whole culture of its own inside of that bubble outside of the influence of Tyrande while ruled by what were technically the remnants of a highbourne civilization she already banished from Nelf lands

Even if for magic use controversy NE are closer to nightborn than Horde.

I’m not saying all the writing was sublime and perfect, but it was good enough that most people correctly were able to predict that the NB’s would join the horde because of how Tyrande was talking to and about them in quest and popup texts
I’ll agree on the idea that we didn’t need more elves then the two elf races we already had but hey, here we are.
If you want to be specific, they were given to Horde because the Void Elves went to Alliance (or vice versa, same difference really) and you’re playing a void elf now so…

Imagine tomorrow, blizzard decide to add Murloc on alliance, before the patch : no lore, no questline, nothing more than “we killed murloc in elywnn forest”
and they add a weird questline to “explain” why murlocs are now in the alliance.

Nightborne should have been Alliance and thus reconect the night elves and highborne with them in some remdeemed story. It was badly written “bUh TyrAndEh” just so they can cull night elf pop and boost the horde

No it shouldn’t. Someone didn’t pay attention to how night elves abandoned Highborne civlization so another Azshara can’t be repeated.
