Silvermoon vs Ravencrest

Hi, I’m a returning player. I’ve got a 110 boost but don’t wanna waste it on the wrong realm. Does anyone know which one has more alliance players and guild. I’m looking to do both pve and pvp. Also how much impact does your realm choice have nowadays?

Both are good and the only real options for Alliance players.

SIlvermoon. It’s the Alliance version of Dreanor. However it is technically classed as full and when SL lands it will likely be locked and have log in queues.

As for Impact, not a huge amount due to sharding and phasing, it’s more about guild choice.

But isn’t ravencrest full too? Ty for the answer tho

Dunno, I play on Silvermoon as when I joined it was the main Alliance Realm for PvE

Alright Silvermoon it is then. Thanks

Silvermoon hands down

You’re probably gonna find more pvp activity on Ravencrest though.

It’s “full” of characters that haven’t seen a log in in years.

Ravencrest is basically a dead realm now, you can see that with empty auction house. The few items that are there are often several times more expensive than on normal realms.

My alliance characters are on Ravencrest. There’s hardly anyone there, and chances are, everyone you meet is only present thanks to crossrealm feature.

Sure if you mean getting slaughtered by hordes of cross-realm hordies… because there’s often less than 10 people present even in Boralus to do anything about it. And even majority of those that still play on Ravencrest have Warmode OFF.

Ravencrest is far from being dead, most players have Warmode OFF. That’s probably why you don’t see many players in Boralus. I’ve never seen empty auction house on Ravencrest so I don’t really know what you’re refering to.

Pvp activity is not only world pvp. Warmode has its problems because Alliance players gave up at the beginning of BFA. It’s also crossrealm, which means you’re gonna experience the same problems on any other servers (except RP servers which have it’s own crossrealm shards - and those shards are Alliance dominated).

Ravecrest guilds are changing to horde in Shadowlands. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Silvermoon is the most toxic, most cancerous Alliance based server, with elitist people.

Just saying.

I’ve been trying to buy ilvl 400 STR 1handed swords for a week but NOT A SINGLE ONE appeared on the auction. A few agility weapons and that’s it.
A number of other items is also several times more expensive than on Draenor (like talent change tomes, speed enchants for boots, etc)

According to wowhead, there are atleast 60+ guild with alteast 11/12 M or better progess on ravencrest. I hardly call that a dead server.

Population on the realms not automatically means that ah stuff are cheap.

Ravencrest is bleeding, Silvermoon will be the last resort for Alliance players but still it is the second best option (Ravencrest).

Besides, when I buy a new pc a few months later, The Great Dictator Gekko gonna make his guild a perfect sanctuary for many players in Silvermoon, for both PvE and PvP players, perhaps you can join my guild in the future who knows…

Both options are viable but Silvermoon sounds cooler. Ravencrest makes me remember that Night Elf guy with ridicilous looking helm, I’d not choose that one if I were you.

lol.

We have sharding, if news still haven’t reach your cave

We had sharding in Legion, there was still the occasional log in queue

Haven’t seen queues on Silvermoon in bfa and legion

If you plan on playing competitively, Ravencrest would be better, but ultimately, realms are now irrelevant, thanks to the braindead incompetent that had the idea of fully cross-realm the world.
