Didn’t know you can buy logs. Clown take.
Lemme put my own, hot take on this topic.
I think that OBR is a negative long-term for players. Why? It’s like giving every human a hoverchair like in Wall-E. Instead of exercising, they grow lazy, fat and useless (metaphorical speaking with this comparison).
This effect is called “Skill deterioration” and there are a few studies even about this. One of them was about Paramedics in the US. And as much as people wish to seperate Video games and real life, you all, including me, are still humans subjected to the laws of reality in biology and psychology.

Summary:
Thirty trained paramedics were studied to measure cognitive and technical skill deterioration 6 to 30 months after completion of their individual training programs. The group of 30 paramedics included those with six months and those with one year of training. The purpose of the study was to identify areas in need of continuing education and to see if the rate of skill deterioration correlated with the time from completion of the training program. The trained paramedics were given the same final written and technical skill examination they had taken at the end of their training and the individuals’ two scores were compared. The skills requiring the most technical knowledge deteriorated the fastest. Also, basic skills, despite frequent use in the field, had deteriorated. The amount of skill deterioration was greatest among the group of trained paramedics that had completed their training 30 months prior to this study.
Short term it might be a relief. But long-term it will render certain players objectively worse in personal performance beyond the OBR. In other words “dependency of systems”.
Edit: Another (imo fitting comparison) would be to compare the OBR to a leg injury (bad performance) that requires training of muscles (actual class play) to recover (improve). But instead of doing the training, the patient opts for a wheelchair (OBR) for the remaining lifetime, resulting in the leg (ones motoric and cognitive skills) deteriorating and becoming less and less capable to carry the individual.
Ah i see Hinklink invaded this thread too with his “waaa wa cheating waa”, “never done any high rated content but ban addons which never affected me waaa”.
No, cats are for lazy and incompetent people, most gamers. Incapable of going outside and raise a shepherd. Only really able to sit in it’s room and cry about the single button assist as making the game more easy, means devaluing the only thing they’ve got going in life.
You do you, nobody cares?
Well it’s a game and people need to learn, don’t play with them again if it bothers you so much, there are quite a few uber nerds in wow to entertain yourself with.
Again it’s a video game, you really do need to touch grass, you’re addicted and taking this way to serious. You are free to join a guild of sweats and not pug no? If you really can’t stand being outside.
This is why dogs are better, it would force you to go outside and socialize irl, you will no longer care about a key getting depleted, in fact you will not care for the hamsterwheel at all. Or get a cat, that joins you in your frustration of playing the same thing over and over and over. Having had both, it is easier, a cat requires 0 skill or knowledge and almost 0 upkeep. A dog, especially a challenging breed, ye. Get a german shepherd and see the world as I see, you will no longer care about keys, you can trust me on that. I know cause I was you before and since dogs, I just don’t care. I like to play the game casual, but ultimately I get dopamine from nature walks, no dungeons.
You can. The fact that you don’t know how, is cute. But Blizzard sell it indirectly via wow tokens again. And also logs are 3rd party crap, it’s worthless. You can pay2win with bad logs, just buy all the boosts.
Average retail enjoyer brain.
Combat addons are cheats, it’s only boomer retail wow players that are delusional. Luckily the dev team knew and handles it. I have done in the past, but not in a long time, why would I bother? I’m not installing 3rd party crap or cheats. I have better things to do believe it or not,. Also, sorry to break your world but wow is not hard, it’s tedious. Souls games are hard, wow is just a long tedious repetitive slow boomer hotkey tab target grind.
Ever wondered why mythic raiders are only good at wow? Because they’re bad at games, they only excel in being able to grind out boring content for copious amounts of time. Nothing wrong with that, but these takes of not doing “hard” content are cringe. No it’s not hard, it’s tedious, especially since you rely on god knows how many others to achiev anything. Outside of wow, people laugh at you for saying retail wow (or classic) is hard.
Ironically the hardest thing in wow is the ui, and always been, it’s so bad, people resort to cheats to make any sense of it.
You literally cant. Unless you want to risk a permanent ban via acc sharing / piloting. So dont try to talk down to me when I am way higher up than you will ever be ![]()
Average Hinklink 0 brain posts. Keep it coming, keep us entertained.
Because it’s rules for thee but not for me,
The SBA crowd can demand to get carried through content but we can’t ask for a filter in LFG.
At least we all get to have barely any buttons left when midnight drops.
All I can say is removing pugs as a possible source of group finding will reduce the number of tanks as well.
Don’t bother, I’ve checked his characters and he doesn’t even play the game, plus he’s a gnome.
they lobotomize classes what would you use OBR for ? the three button fire mage to much to handle? : D
And some people still need the SBA ![]()
Like the user named naturenjoyer? ![]()
I thought you would use your 2 cents in this matter ![]()
Currently in debt, don’t have 2 cents
![]()
get ready for the auto battler.
Awwww, are you mad at logs because people explained to you that your BfA logs were nothing special and you were not in fact “one of the best mages”?
he uses “retail” as an insult, my guy thinks pushing frostbolt 100 times in a row to top parse in Classic is omega skilled. The same guy that farms 19861916 world buffs to kill Ragnaros faster than everyone else for 0 reason when it was done at level 58 in greens xD.
The same people that need classic hardcore to make easy content tedious because they haven’t the skill to play retail at a high level lmao
Classic players don’t fall off…they were NEVER good. The content was just meme
Remember the “go back to retail” dunk people liked to throw around when classic launched. This guy has it tatooed on his forehead.
My sides. Are in orbit. Rofl
So you “literally” can… Thanks, that’s what I said, you used a lot of word soup to say the same.
And I’m sorry but you’re not playing at a high level, first of all you’re a DH it’s a class that requires close to 0 skill.. Ofc that’s my opinion after having mained it in Legion. You’re also using cheats. aka addons which play the game for you. Even without addons I’d beat you left and right – if I wanted to dedicate my life towards retail wow, which I don’t, not anymore.
But also, there is no high level in wow, all progress can be bought. Even without it, wow is not hard, nothing is hard, it’s one of the easiest games there is. Thats why mythic raiders suck in every other game, they’re bad overall, just a extremely high tolerance for waisting time. Which I admit is a skill in itself that I do not posses. In that way, no I will never reach your “level”, nor do I have any desire to reach such utter boredom.
In the end you are here crying about a single button assist, while letting addon’s play your game, it’s cute.
It’s also cute that you think cheaters care about account bans, speaking about 0 brains.
I do play the game, Legion remix atm. That is the game no? I don’t play retail a lot no. Why would I it’s not fun to me so I don’t. It’s not that deep. If the game was fun I would, but it’s not imo so I don’t. But here’s what may be news to you, almost nobody plays retail atm, that’s why huge and much needed changes are coming in Midnight. It’s a step in the right direction for gathering returning and new players but more works has to be done.
