Hello,
I was thinking how cool it would be for Blizzard to release a single player WoW game with photorealistic graphics. I got this idea while I was watching AI generated WoW clips on YouTube. They look astonishing and I believe that this single player WoW game would sell as hell.
The game could be just the story of the game, from Vanilla to Lich King (the best period of WoW), with the player having the same talent points, the dungeons being like delves right now (without levels of difficulty), questing being like a main campaign with side quests (like in WoW right now).
I would love to see that and I would preorder in a glimpse.
What do you guys thing about that? Do you have any suggestions about this idea? What would you love to see implemented in this single player WoW game?

Not my cup of tea. The wow cartoon style is part of the charm of the game.
I donât like the hyper realistic stuff.

Are you not curious about how the game would look like with photorealistic graphics? Like how the spells would look like, how the nature would feel like?
Not really, putting lipstick on a pig doesnât make it any less of a pig.

I play wow for the social part, dont think a single player game would interest me.
I despise the AI generated content on YouTube⌠theyâre literally bottom barrel scrapping tier âqualityâ âcontentâ.
And no, what makes WoW, or Warcraft for that matter, is its stylized art⌠going photorealistic is just daft. Might as well be playing a different franchise.

I would like them to make a BG3 style game but in WoWâs world.
Imagine how massive WoW would be if you went through each zoneâs story and gathering companions and stuff.
Just the base classic story would be like 200+ hrs Not to mention TBC, wotlk etc
I would love to have an RPG version of WoW but not with the same story. I prefer cartoony style but for an RPG? Yeah realistic stuff is okay - just not too realistic because I find I canât focus.

The art style has been part of the charm of the Warcraft franchise for > 30 years. Change it, and it´s not warcraft anymore, period.
If you want a âphotorealistcâ game just for the sake of being photorealistic , there are more than enough alternatives out there.
Most of them are all flash andno substance, but that´s exactly what´s to be expected of any game that is forced to spend more time and money on artists to draw single hairs in a beard that it does on quest designers and story developers, because every year of deveopment time raises the bar on how realistic their graphics have to be and how many drops of pixel blood a sword strike makes go flying trough the air in a physically accurate fashion.

Wouldnât be interested at all. Thatâs like suggesting a photo-realistic solo player Mario Kart.
Edit: or Among Us, or any other game where the graphics style is a fundamental part of the game.

I think it would be the same level of awesome as any Live-Action remake of popular animated movies and series such as Avatar, Dragonball or The Lion King.
In other words, it would flop.

Must be my imagination then for games like Fortnite and Rivals to be so immensely popular despite their cartoonish graphicsâŚ
Meanwhile loads of âphotorealisticâ games are complete flops.
