So what do people think about Sir Denathrius’ physical appearance? I mean he looks so much like a dreadlord but less demonic. No wings but has horns and the legs/posture. Red eyes which is different but the skin colour too.
Could it be possible that he is some sort of original Nathrezim? What do people think?
He’s a treasure and I loathe for the moment we have to strike down this magnificent creature in the name of international safety

Totally agree with you if you arent being sarcastic. I love the guy - he’s so snotty that he’s fabulous

Well that what got me thinking. There was a Nathrezim in the army of light during Legion so they’re not all legion pawns
Edit: I love the guy too. I was so gutted that I couldn’t join him on my pretentious, arrogant Belf!

If you have looked at the Enemy Infiltration - Preface book, it’s pretty much confirmed that he is a Dreadlord. Perhaps even Nathrezim OG. He is the Sire… which means Father.

I think it’s Dreadlord Jaina who bought a gender change off the store.

For real, I was sad when I learned he’s the villain and the Venthyr leader would actually be the Prince dude. He’s not bad but he’s rather bland compared to Fabulous Denis

Denathrius is the boss of the Nathrezim.

I’m with you on this. I think the way he looks is damn good and the voice actor nailed him totally. I’m glad he’s quite naughty but we kinda saw it coming. However, that doesnt detract from the fact that he’s brilliant

Here’s the WoWhead link for it: https://www.wowhead.com/item=183742/enemy-infiltration-preface
You can loot it somewhere in the Spire of Unseen Guests, but doesn’t show up all the time, iirc

There was a theory that all nathrezim were part of this house. Not sure if that’s the case, but it makes perfect sense.

I think it’s rather painfully obvious that there’s a connection between Denathrius (as is confirmed by Blizzard) and the Nathrezim. Ever since they retconned the entire story of the helm, they needed to retcon a bit more to make sure the helmet and the sword ended up in the nathrezim’s hands.
Lo and behold, a league between the Dreadlords and Denathrius of some kind that conveniently placed the helm in the hand of the Nathrezim, with the intention of sending it to Azeroth.
As long as you keep the lore of the Shadowlands separated it’s not a bad story - even though it’s a bit flavourless and painfully obvious. But when you start mixing it in with the Legion and Azeroth then it just starts making absolutely no sense what so ever.
Not necessarily if the nathrezim have always been secretly working as double agents for Denathrius. The whole burning crusade was meant to cause a lot of death, so it would mean a lot more anima/power.

He could be a Nathrezim that has been altered to something that isn’t demonic, it’s possible if enough power is brought to bear.
It’s happened before, such as Lothraxion who was changed from a demonic creature into one of Light.
Maybe the same thing happened with Denathrius except that instead being turned into a being of Light he was turned into a being of Death?
