Interesting stuff from people. I didn’t realise there was so much lore already for big daddy D!
Dude I love the Nathrezim.
Id really like if that was the case.
This isn’t true with the new lore, though.
Yeah I suspect they will retcon the living life out of everything just to fit into Shadowland’s twisted idiotic lore. Until the next expansion and they retcon Shadowlands as well. This is why so many of us lore nerds just don’t care too much about the lore any more. There used to be a lot of discussion around lore elements, but lately it’s just pointless when they retcon the living life out of everything.
As per original lore however they are of the fel, and that’s what I go after. Retconned lore is non-cannon in my book.
Hey, I’m not here to say whether or not the new lore is good or bad. I’m just going with what the new lore is. If you don’t consider it canon, though, I feel sorry for you because the death-based Nathrezim are clearly intended to be the up and coming big threat of the game.
He is a good character, he didn’t kill the venthyr prince, that was a nice move. If it was Gul’dan he would be like “muahah me zugzug me fel me kill you”. So we can say it is an improvement.
He is Xavius of this expansion.
I genuinely feel bad that we need to kill him, he’s just awesome.
Looks badass, talks badass, is a badass.
Shhh… don’t speak. Observe!
You’re a genius, really. I never noticed the resemblance.
He looks like a Dreadlord and he moves like Kil’Jaeden
Except it’s Blizzards lore and whatever they say goes, no matter your feelings on it
There’s a quest in which the Accuser confronts Sire Denathrius, and she says to him he used to be a lord of dread, so I would say that’s a not so subtle hint they are connected. My suspicion is that the Nathrezim are former Venthyr corrupted by the energies of the Twisting Nether.
Technically, they are… the book you can find in game says they took the Fel willingly, to hide amongst the demons better and be better spies.
I haven’t found that book in game yet, but thanks for confirming
I’ve not found it myself, so can’t give you the exact location, but it’s somewhere in the Spire of Unseen Guests. You can also find the text on WoWhead or watch a YT video about it if you wanna read it but can’t find it yourself, either.
The Accuser calls him… “A Lord of Dread”. When they talk about how he’s not what he seems, and how his servants are awfully demon-like, I mean it is rather obvious he is a dreadlord.
If they have that attitude, no one will take their story serious. Though a lot of people are there already.
It is safe to say that Nathrezim are behind everything. They even got a spy in the Light army, Lothraxion. I can see them being the last true enemy in the game even after the void is defeated. Cuz you know we will defeat it and the light aswell
I think the chance Sire Denathrius is going to survive and escape the Shadowlands is through the roof tbh
Theotar, the Mad Duke little remark, when he met the Prince was priceless tho’ “My Prince, you could grate cheese on those pecs of yours…”
Nah he’s obviously a Succubus
He’s not handsome…
He’s a hunk!
