This would be the most likely solution that Blizzard would come up with because it’s easiest and cheapest solution, and it’s guaranteed to work. For them it’s win win.
It would stop lots of people from cheating
Well, there are many things not present in Vanilla but implemented on Classic, and some are much, much more game-changing than allowing a couple of seconds before free for all looting commences.
Stopping people from cheating or griefing is not a goal of Classic project. Goal of Classic project is to recreate WoW vanilla, including its drawbacks.
I see this being said all the time but no threads complaining about the differences between Vanilla and Classic.
Interesting.
Except it’s already too late for that… just read my previous post. Or shall I list the many other changes in Classic compared to Vanilla that stop people from cheating, exploiting and griefing ?
By that same logic they should not have added better bot detection software
And at this point it’s /thread
Suggest to make Classic closer to vanilla and everyone will support you.
Why ignore my post?
Bot detection software is not part of gameplay and does not affect it at all, so it’s irrelevant.
What a wonderfully enormous assumption you have made. And it’s funny because you’re active in many threads where players are asking for changes to Classic.
And they should not have changed the addon API, so things like auto casting with one button, auto travel, auto combat and more would still be possible.
It is part of gameplay, its stopping me from botting my way to 60
External software is not part of gameplay. I don’t consider addons as part of gameplay either, so changing API is fine for me, but some people might have a different stance on that one.
What about new api thats stopping me from making a spammablr macro that will only cs on holy school cast?
Get gud, and klick fast. also if u are the one looting then u cant ever skin as fast as the ones taht don’t need to loot. so get a buddy with u.
No they arent going to change this, becuase u think its unfair. classic is classic because it works like classic, not because it should work like retail
Oh yes it does. If you don’t remember every single spot worth farming in Vanilla being invaded by Asian “pro” farmers, then you’ve not played Vanilla and your opinion suddenly lost a lot of its value.
They are using auto clickers dude

I don’t consider addons as part of gameplay either, but some people might have a different stance on that one.
Blizzard, the makers of your beloved Vanilla, have a different stance on this. Add-ons have been permitted since Vanilla.
