I find it very stupid when people don’t wanna skip during leveling. The goal is to get the bonus experience from dungeon finder which is achieved by killing the last boss. You get nothing by killing other bosses, the gear is irrelevant pre 60, who cares for that? Not skipping is like intentionally wasting your time. It’s like going to a restaurant and be like, waiter, please take as long as possible to bring my meal and drink, I just wanna sit here and look at the walls. I rather leave the group that wants that, and am not as bothered but I am geniounly curious, do people reallt enjoy sabotaging themselves?

But it’s not a speed run you just have the option do what you are there for faster, yet you choose to gimp yourself. It’s like not doing only the last boss in Freehold for 4 mythics quest in BfA. I don’t see the benefit.

Everyone plays the game differently. Deal with it. Otherwise get a leveling group. If i would lose brainpower over every “questionable thing” people do in leveling dungeons i would have died from stress ages ago.

I am not bothered that much about it, If it’s a no skip I insta leave and go to another alt while the deserter debuff wears off. I am just amazed. Let’s say you are a straight guy and a girl you are really into knocks on your door at 2 AM with nothing but a Santa hat on and says: Let’s do it. But you are like nah girl I want to get to know you better, here cover yourself and tell me what high school you went to? That’s how I see it.

If they go for full clear just do first boss and u wont get deserter debuff

Sure the plaguefall skip is annoying if you want gear (low ilvl players) or to see the bosses while leveling for the first time.
Blizzard should be the ones to blame for this though, they created the dungeon and could have easily created a barrier to continue after killing each boss. I’m actually surprised theyt didn’t think about this considering you have to kill all bosses in M+.
When leveling alts I say nothing when I enter Eye of Azshara and laugh as people try to skip to the last boss there, they must learn that lesson the harsh way.

No. This idiotic mentality is why I was level 50 in level 30 gear. Because everyone skips all the bosses. The quests do not award enough gear and even then - someone doing dungeons is someone who isn’t questing. You can say “get looms” but I don’t have cloth looms for my mage and also looms are stupid and I hate them. And even then, what about new players?
My leveling was so hard, it was actually fun because of this mentality. Questing is still a faster way to level up than dungeons, so not doing the quests is an intentional waste of time like waiter please take as long as possible to bring my meal and drink I just wanna sit here and look at the walls.

We had that in BfA too, I don’t know why is that so bad? If you really intend to play the game you will see all dungeons hundreds of times. For gear maybe there is some logic but still. I had people below 60 not want to skip, like why? That’s what I don’t get.
@Popglior You are talking with someone who has 20+ alts, had no problem at all with getting gear, and there aren’t as many dungeons where you can skip (which I hate). So I don’t know what you are talking about.
@Daestra I said I am NOT AS MUCH bothered not AT ALL. I made a thread so someone can bring up a logical reason why not to skip during leveling cause I am really confused. I had Below 60 people be so determined not to skip even if other four people want to skip, they go pull bosses and thrash. Why?
Just start your own private group and say DOING PLAGUEFALL SKIP, DONT JOIN IF YOU DONT WANT TO SKIP.
And let people play plagefall the way they want and the way it was intended.

A dungeon is a group activity. You just have to go with the flow. If the majority want to skip/not skip you just go with it.

Counterpoint: You sign up to play through a random dungeon. To kill the big baddies inside and save the day. Nowhere does it say “if it’s Plaguefall you have to skip all the bosses even if you need them or you get abused by tyrants who think if one person says skip then everyone needs to skip”.
Alliance side rarely skips it. Horde side always does. Nowhere is this told to you in advance. I queued Plaguefall specific because I needed it on my Horde alt, only to witness people telling the tank to self-harm because he started pulling the slimes before the 1st boss.
He just. Didn’t. Know. The. Secret. Rule.
“Those who want speed are more valid than those who want to complete the content in the way it was intended” is a very odd stance, and yet that’s exactly what skiphappy people are saying when they endlessly rage at people who idk, want to do the content they signed up for? Very, very odd to feel moral superiority in defending skipping. Finding it hard to believe that this is the hill people are willing to die on.
The least you could do is not belittle and curse out those who don’t know this secret rule. And yet even that is too much to ask. Furthermore, the Threads of Fate progress bars are a large chunk of EXP and Renown. The Maldraxxus one is a pain to complete if you’re never allowed to idk, actually do Plaguefall. Makes me not wanna level through dungeons. Which I’m guessing is the reason a lot of people whine about long queues - because others are tired of the “Plaguefall PvP” like I am.
Skipping is counterproductive and counterintuitive. Abusing people doesn’t change that.
