Slow download speed

I ended up wiping my computer because of this, I guess it needed a cleaning anyways! Now I got 75GB to download…

Something happened, its going @ 13MB/s

75GB? Not bad, that is equal to 600 000 mbit. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not in download speed, I have to download the game @ 75gb.

Ahh, alright. I went from 15KB/s up 65MB/s changeing to US-version, Blizz servers is bad today. :stuck_out_tongue:

As I have mentioned before, the issue is with EU specifically. You do not have to use a VPN, all you have to do is change your region for the specific game in the Battle.net client. It is just next to where you choose your Game version, it takes 2 seconds. Then you change back after download has completed.

I don’t see any region change for World of Warcraft. I’m more worried how poorly Blizzard is coming up to this whole situation.

I understand that many of us are angry but as long as we keep nagging and pushing on others we won’t solve anything, I believe that blizzard is working on it and that they are trying to fix everything, ps : I also don’t have a region change on world of warcraft. :frowning:

I had to log out to change region, it’s in the settings menu on log in screen.
Altho for me it did not change anything, it just for some reason got randomly faster.

Worked like a charm!

Same issue for me, changing regions does not work. Uninstalling battle.net launcher does not work.

Tried every possible solution I have seen. Help?

if u read through there are several ways, i used protonvpn andd connected to netherlands

The VPN way did not work.

Now I am stuck at trying to install the battle.net launcher.

(Also from Norway btw, Telia as provider)

I appreciate this answer and I can see where the issue may be.

However - it is your job (Blizzard) as the provider of these games to then get in contact with the major data carries to let them know “hey, we have a problem here that (for some weird reason) only affects battle.net launcher and not steam, epic etc - can you help us fix this problem?”

I’m just trying to understand why this data carrier issue is only affecting battle.net and not any other game provider?

Another small update for Wrath Classic. Not more then 50MB. Right now I’m at 114 KB/s. Wonder what if I have to download whole game. Takes months. This is trully annoying lack of communication and probably will to fix that.

So I had the same problem, my game stuck in [Not responding] mode the moment I launch it, tried reinstalling the game and noticed that the launcher was just downloading in at a slow 65 KB/s.
Thought it was a connection issue so I tried to ping one of WoW’s IP Addresses from Blizz’s support page.
The Second after I pinged the IP address, the speed of my download went from 65KB/s to a whopping 113MB/s. And managed to launch the game just fine now.
Dunno if this is just a temp fix or not, but thought I’d at least mention it here if it can help others.

They did respond. The blue post says ‘its your problem…work it out yourself!’

Whats truly diabolical is giving me beta access then making sure I cant download it enough to play!

I’m not an expert but pathping just testing your latency between you and Blizzard servers. Doubt it fixed your download speed.

Yeah, I know, just saying that it just went from slow as heck to fast the moment I started pinging.
So no idea why that worked.

My beta DF download just isnt happening (although it seems to think its downloading!).
Oddly enough when I first tried it got stuck at 7% after telling me it would be playable at 8%.
I uninstalled, scan and repaired and tried again…now its stuck at 1% and telling me it will be playable at 3%!
Is it just deliberately messing with me for ****s and giggles!?
