I used to do one thing, that I immensely enjoyed when I was feeling down.
I used to go to Legion zones and fly low to scout for enemy players at zones such as Stormheim and seek out low level players to mercilessly kill them for lolz.
Is that still possible?
Last time I was flying around and couldn’t find anybody anywhere.
And we all know it’s not efficient to level with WM on once the ganking starts. You might get a couple of lucky hits, then they’re gonna go to Stormwind, disable it, and you’ll never see them again.
If you want world PvP at 60, well frankly my advice is do not gank lowbies. If they lose the habit, they won’t come back.
They’ll be in Chromie time and besides, WM leveling up bonuses got some reductions along the way last I heard making it less of an incentive to turn on.
Does the Alliance even get much of a WM on bonus these days for levelling in the mode?
I’ve seen both sides gank levellers but I really don’t see the point other than inconveniencing other players. If I level in WM on I rarely encounter anyone that wants to attack you, on the other hand, I don’t care if someone does kill me. Worst case you can just swap to level somewhere else in the world with Chromie time.
People say to play this game the way I want. As a matter of fact, that is the thing that I have heard the most when there was any doubt from someone when they were asking something like ‘How to better X, this or Y?’
I find it enjoyable to go ganking around, even if it’s low level players, and excuse me, but if its not hand holding and showing a finger “No No , bad Orc! ” I don’t know what is.
It is frustrating, but we ve all been there.
Besides, to note one specific part what I have enjoyed the most about it both back in BfA and in 9.0, that for the majority of the ganks I have had it ALWAYS have turned into the game of cat and mouse.
Usually I was ending up being chased by one or two or even sometimes THREE max levels clearly outsmarted and outgeared.
I started on a PvP realm back in TBC and I was killed a lot, it was part and parcel of playing. I can’t say I had any idea what the realms meant back then though
As much as I take no pleasure in ganking I also don’t see the point about complaining when you are in WM on. Something you can simply opt out of if you don’t like being killed.
Back in TBC they’d not only kill you, they’d kill all the NPCs for quest hand ins as well and their respawn timer was a lot longer than it is now. Which meant hanging around to try and hand in, which meant getting ganked more etc. You’d get guildies/friends to come help out, or get your main etc. If that wasn’t possible you just had to log out and do something else for a while until the ganker got bored.
I started in Woltk, but because I was small and young I couldn’t afford the subscription to play on official servers, but Russian server was packed with people and it was pretty much the same.
it will dismount ur enemys when they try to fly away
then when they fall and take fall damage u attack them killing them off
this toy works on level 60s aswell …
One of the good things in BFA was the WPvP, there was always somewhere a complete mayhem between the factions, so if you had nothing better to do you could just join the massacre. In Shadowlands there is absolutely zero WPvP activity.
Blizz should really have made PvP between covenants a thing in warmode.
Were at the start until they got nerfed really hard even before people were even getting the good PvP gear with lotsa vers, so kind of double nerfed in the end.
